I’m leery of articles like these that claim US life expectancy “plummeted” to the bottom of similar GDP countries by dropping a measly 0.3 years without stating how those other country’s life expectancies changed.

Smells like clickbait to me. May just indicate that disease prevention/eradication has hit a wall.

There also is a limit to how far you can push up life expectancy without an almost magical medical breakthrough. People can live into their 80s, sometimes 90s and up but it's really not a wonderful age to be alive at.

Unless they can cure dementia, bowel problems, back problems, god knows what else old people get by the time I'm 78, I'll be fine going out at that age.

But it's not impossible, they might be able to figure out immortality in our lifetimes or at least cure or mitigate a lot of horrible age related diseases.

It's not innocuous when you consider the sample size.

If it keeps dropping like that, sure but it might be a blip. As I was saying, a lot of that generation lived/lives really unhealthy lifestyles. Theres still a lot of obesity and other problems but theres more awareness now. The younger generations could end up increasing the life expectancy just from healthy living.

the strongest drops also tend to be among members of the lower middle and working poor which means if you take out the large amount of Americans who are solidly middle class and the the what the 5-10% who are upper crust/borderline upper crust the numbers become even more depressing for an even larger chunk of the population :picard::picard:

Go inside each place you like and look at score and make sure that shyt is an A if you still want to eat

You can’t trust them imo, questionable health practices. Too many stories of toilet to food transferring

Once you get them parasites bombed out of you and actually feel like you should feel, you don’t trust these mfers ever again

I don’t even get a salad from zaxbys no more. My insomnias gone and I wake up early as fukk with no fatigue

A lot Americans to a degree have parasites in them from food, they don’t gotta be tapeworms

Is it socialism itself that’s bad

Or is it sanctioning countries who nationalize resources for their people instead of handing it to an oligarch that are called socialists before the actual socialism is implemented

Sanctions can only cripple a country that's reliant on other countries to survive.

The type of innovation and hard work required for a country to be self sufficient is only possible with incentives aka capitalism.

Socialists usually suffer from the fatal flaw that people who do the hard jobs necessary for a society to thrive are and will continue to do those jobs out of some sense of loyalty or obligation to the tribe.

It's no surprise that most of the most ardent supporters of socialism are people who work ultimately meaningless office or service jobs believing they have a right to the labor of those who fix the infrastructure, heal the sick, and provide other services vital to a functioning society

Work your population to death, and be surprised, they drop like flies...:heh:

Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont? Is people dropping, in those barren, abysmal states really a surprise? :childplease:

Live a long prosperous life in San Diego or Honolulu somewhere, if you can afford it? Really! :gladbron:

I hear you but I think you're discounting how much millennials are accounting for this drop.

Student loan debt, credit card debt, job outsourcing, automation, skyrocketing healthcare/housing costs, poisonous music, poisonous social media has caused a lot of despair with millennials. It's also led to a lot of young people not seeking relationships. I'm telling you years from now people are going to look back and wonder why we didn't do more to help this generation.

I actually think Gen Z peeped game and are making some better decisions (studies show they are saving more and accumulating less student debt) to not fall in the same pitfalls as millennials and live a better quality of life.

That last paragraph is the truth but I never figured it was due to wising up I always thought we socialized differently and education is cool now and eating healthy is cool now.

But I think America doesn't like all this knowledge and wokeness going on with young people they like mindless nikka stuff and ignorance because fixing it will be profitable.

Soni always expected a kickback to take place.
