Yup MAGA is marking off all of Umberto Ecos features of fascism. Its sane how quickly things are progressing. Less than a decade ago, government officials suggesting the burning of books would be insane. Now it only gets a few days of news coverage. We are literally sleep walking into the abyss.

It can exist if the dominant group is willing to acknowledge the humanity and dignity of the people who were there from the beginning literally building the whole thing.

Until America acknowledges and gives black people the respect and compensation we are owed, this country is finished. Once the white supremacists are done with their targets they will turn on eachother. They were all 'white' in Europe and they had over a thousand years of violence culminating in two of the deadliest wars in human history. A caste system is what kept everything in check in the US and kept them from destroying each other like they did in Europe.

There are powerful people in America who understand this, so they need to keep these white supremacist extremists in check, but they're failing in this duty. They're becoming too lax. Just like how the fundamentalist extreme Muslims took over some countries in the Arab world, the fundamentalist white supremacists are at risk of overtaking the moderates and creating a new dictatorship.
