There were some accomplished men at the Insurrection. I think you underestimate how serious white men take the idea of losing “their” country. They can’t handle the changing demographics, and minorities speaking up and demanding better treatment.

One thing that should be mentioned is he's not talking about soldiers, but political appointees to fill federal government agencies. The context of that discussion was the Trump administration wasn't prepared to fill 4000 positions at the federal level and that next time they need to be prepared to fill those spots immediately to reform the federal government in their image. Make no mistake about it, Bannon's language is coded and designed to incite along with get a reaction from the media, and he's accomplished that. The prospect of living in a de facto fascist state is something people, especially black people, need to reckon with ASAP. Me and my girl have one eye open to moving to another country at this point. We’re in dangerous territory and I don’t see a path to things getting better.
