My mistake. That does not change the fact that it did not matter. Even if his father became one later or before, he could have gotten his son citizenship if he was not being lazy.

So, you have no point. You only have uncontrolled anger. You don't even know whom to direct that anger at, you just want to direct it at anyone but the person who is actually responsible. Be mad at the man who could have done something about this, but did nothing for years.

He was dumb to commit crimes in the 1st place
I guess it was in his youth
He should get a good lawyer to fight this because it's still very unfair to deport him to a country he has never been in his whole life
The law does not care about fairness. The law only cares about what is the law. He can get a lawyer, but that will not change his circumstance in this case. The true culprit is his father.

How does this even happen. I get that due to a technicality he's not a citizen of any country but there's no reason for him to be deported to Jamaica.
His father was not a US citizen at the time, but a citizen of Jaimaca who joined the US Army.

Here's a case from the Obama era.

There's people who were adopted by Americans, didn't even know their paperwork wasn't completed and were not citizens, who ended up deported even because of a crime they committed as a minor.
