How can anyone feel sorry for this fool? He's a grown man making 8 figures coaching one of the premiere college programs in NCAA football. And he can't stay sober. That's his fault. I don't believe he has a disease I believe he has entitlement issues. That have been covered up by fukk up ADs that hired him because they liked him personally. He should be FIRED MONDAY. Pat Haden should get the boot as well.

Alcoholism is a disease breh.

As much as I hate the way the media and his bosses have been coddling him, I can at least admit he does in fact have a disease. When substance abuse issues are dismissed as "entitlement issues," it only hurts the patient. Sure he is entitled - there is no question about that. His bosses and his family members look the other way because of his professional ability. But his inability to put down the bottle is a result of real neurological and behavioral issues.

This isn't a case of dude drinking too much after a win and getting a hangover that keeps him in bed past his alarm clock. He is emotionally, physically, and mentally addicted to alcohol.

I really understand where you're coming from. I know alcoholics in my personal life. But Sark strikes me as a guy who is mad arrogant. And believes he is above reproach. Maybe I'm wrong. But his problems seem more self inflicted. Built out of arrogance, like no one can tell me nothing. I just wonder if a black coach would be getting this many passes if he was in Sark's position.

If he is suffering from a disease I hope he gets the help he needs. But he should be dismissed from the job.

:heh: at everybody reporting this story with such concern and empathy

Let this have been a college athlete losing their scholarship due to drinking problems, we would've have a deadspin article about their upbringing, an ESPN OTL about college drinking, numerous quotes from anonymous source, a bunch of pics of the player in bars

fire that muhfukka and let's move on

:wow:
