Here I Stand was the last one I heard all the way through. But, I really only liked Love In This Club and the Remix.

I did used to listen to Papers a lot around 2009, for no real reason, other than the beat was sick and Usher sounded good. Haven't heard anything since.

it's always this wishful thinking shyt, but as an Usher fan since 1997, had the CD back then, was trying to game to my 7th grade girlfriends, like "lets take it nice and slow", if he could do some like a 7 track 90's throwback, I would be down.

A typical R&B song today

*sing a surprisingly traditional verse*

Hold you in my arms.............never let you gooooo ooh woahhhhhhh

*rapper gets on to rap some dumb shyt*

smacking dat booty, like I smacked up da opps. Having you screaming and begging for da cops. I got a warrant for my arrest as I'm grabbin' on ya breast. I'm a Jamaican pop quiz. Who wan' test

This is hilarious, and had to give you your credit, because that's exactly how I see it. That's ALWAYS been kind of a thing in R&B since mid 2000's, I think in the 90's rappers toned it down, think Jada on Best of Me, or Jay on Fiesta

now they have an almost spoken word of explicit content and relentless criminality and sex offenses lol

Figured if the coli hates it it must be fire.. just listened and was not disappointed. Album is dope. My only criticism is its a bit long and some tracks could have been left off and I would sequence it a bit differently but all in all its fire. Nobody dropping an album full of slow ballads in 2024. Usher has always made dance music as well as slower songs. This is all in the same vein.

Yall need yall ears checked but then again there is a 20 page thread on that flopped wack weedplate benny the butcher album thats pinned so that explains it.

For y’all that have been consistently listening to Usher for a long time, how we’re Here I Stand, Raymond vs Raymond, and Looking 4 Myself? Outside of singles it’s been years since I’ve listened to a full Usher project and I’m trying to hear some legit bops and slower love songs.
Here I stand is damn good imo love that album has that mature r&b music that grown shyt
Raymond v Raymond was solid
Looking for myself didn’t really care for

I really enjoyed Raymond v Raymond. The other two are weaker imo.
