Sales wise maybe but as far as quality albums, Kellz kept it consistent. Have you heard Love Letter, Write Me Back, or Black Panties? He could do a concert full of non-singles made throughout his career & rock it. Usher didn't perform not one song he made in the past decade at the halftime show, then dropped a turd of an album.

Usher did in fact perform songs he did in the last decade at the Halftime show. "OMG" and "There Goes My Baby" were last decade (2010-2019).

Those albums are not prime R. Kelly albums. And I've already stated R. Kelly>>>>. My point with bringing up R. Kelly is that his best music was clearly within the first 10 of his career. It was also his commercial peak. Same as Usher. Both have had hits since they peaked.

Usher does not have a 'Love Letter' album after his peak.

Kellz dropped Happy People 12 years after his debut.

I never said he did. Read the post. Both peaked in the first 10 of their career. They had success after and even classic songs. Usher not having a "Love Letter" album after his peak is an opinion. Usher dropped Confessions nearly 10 years after his debut. Its his most successful album and widely considered his best.

Not really. After chocolate factor R Kelly only had songs here and there that would get radio play. Trapped in the closet got him some attention but the quality of his music declined after chocolate factory. His best years was definitely behind him. Usher still had hit records after confessions.. even if his albums weren’t perfect.
You gotta listen to TP3, Love Letter, Write Me Back, Black Panties, & The Buffet if you haven't. All solid albums. Double Up had a few songs but he was trying to fit the sound at that time & to me failed at it.
Usher gave good singles but the albums had no replay value.

If I'm not mistaken he didn't do There Goes My Baby & yes OMG was done in the last decade but it's a decade & a half old. Bin Laden had that playing in the background on one of his videos flashing guns taped in his underground bunker. R. Kelly's biggest singles were off Chocolate Factory & both still fill up dance floors to this day.

More goal post moving. You said he didn't do any songs from last decade. I post "OMG" and you in here talking about Bin Laden and then proceed to talk about R. Kelly songs from two previous decades.

Nah, you're putting words in my mouth. I said he didn't perform any songs he made in the PAST decade, meaning the past 10 years. Where's the lie?

Why didn't you clarify this before even admitting that he did perform "OMG" if that's what you meant? You sure you aren't an undercover Usher fan, brcause you sure are moving mountains to prove absolutely nothing.

I'm a fan of his music but I'll call a spade a spade. The most recent song he performed was OMG which came out when?

Its a 15 minute performance spanning a career of 30 years. He couldn't fit every song into that performance. And he has hits in the past 10 years. "Good Good" is a recent one.

Usher only has 8 albums within that 30 years so if people were actually checking for it, he'd have substituted one of the slow jamz he performed for that.

:what:Did you just ask that?? It's only the biggest show in the world, why not promote your newer music to the world?

There's a plethora of reasons why he didn't do a newer song because again, its 15 minutes. "Good, Good" features 21 Savage and Summer Walker and probably didn't want to perform the song without them.
