To my knowledge usher was not doing that dreamy synth slow rnb that Weeknd was popping with at the time before that songClearly?
We’re talking sales numbers, units sold, product moved. Not talking about money. As far as dollars grossed...yes?

the dude who produced the song literally admits he was inspired by weeknd’s music breh. I know ppl have their favorites but let’s try to use rational thought
Diplo Acknowledges Weeknd’s Influence on Usher’s ‘Climax’ – Variety
What is product moved in 2020 i guess is the point Im trying to make. No one own's anyones product unless they own the physical copy or considers themselves stakeholders in a streaming economy, which in today's measure is a loose concept at best.. There is no middle ground nowWe’re talking sales numbers, units sold, product moved. Not talking about money.

Well if Diplo literally says it was in his head while producing it, then why’s anyone still arguing lol. It’s over. Doesn’t even sound like Weeknd was taking shots. People being super feminine. To my knowledge usher was not doing that dreamy synth slow rnb that Weeknd was popping with at the time before that song

I listed due tot the high/falsetto pitches. But, neither does The Weekend's song. I am trying to understand how they are similar. Those are classic rnb grooves that sound nothing like climax

I wasn’t talking about usher’s voice per se. I was referring to the production and structure of the vocals. There’s nothing really original about weeknd’s voice outside of the processingI listed due tot the high/falsetto pitches. But, neither does The Weekend's song. I am trying to understand how they are similar.
