I liked the album.

Didn’t go into it expecting an all time classic which probably helped.

Confessions was lightning in a bottle because it was the perfect storm of coming to grips with youthful reckleness and fukkery. Like I’m looking forward to that album being my “y’all youngsters don’t know shyt about this” soundtrack one day

Sounded like he had fun in the studio here. That’s all I’m asking from dude at this stage is a casual enjoyable listening experience for the car etc

Dude is a legend and has legitimate classics so I’m cool with him just making music he considers fun. Ain’t like he’s needing the money or the acclaim

Some people say they want Usher to drop “mature” music, when he dropped “married dad” mature ish music with Here I stand lots of people gave him the :camby: for it.

Some folks don’t just go and get “old” because of the year they were born
