This sucks but the parents were to blame. If getting your child's lunch snatched is the only way to alert you to pay your debt...oh well.

My friend owns a daycare center and the amount of parents that feel they don't have to pay on time but still require care is amazing. Like people will bring their kid week after week not saying a word about money. It's not until they show up one day and she spins them around that they want to discuss payment with her. .

I get what you're saying, but there is a difference in discreetly telling the parent before the child gets settled in the daycare about non payment vs. snatching their lunches away in front of all of their friends. Those kids had to watch other kids eat in their faces because their mommy and daddy didn't pay. Kids are smarter and unfortunately meaner than you think. No doubt those kids were getting made fun of because they didn't pay.

How would you feel if your child had to bear the embarrassment of you not paying a debt vs. the administrators approaching you like an adult? What they did was wrong point blank

What does this have to do with the kids though? You are talking about what you would have done but it's about the kids and this should not have happened to them.

Wohever decided this must have been mantally challenged if he thoight this wasn't going to come back to bite him in the ass. You can't take food away from little kids period. Kids shouldn't have to suffer but let's be honest......this issue with the bills not being paid had to have been a long and I mean long standing issue for it to get to this point. And the school no doubt has to eat, pardon the pun, any expenses on unpaid bills. Some of you have never run a business and it shows. It's not fun to have to cover folks that won't pay up but still expect services. That is not what's hot. Kids shouldn't have to suffer but parents shouldn't have to expect free food if their kids aren't on the free lunch program.
