First look at Utawawerumono: False Mask
Sequel coming to PS4, PS3, and PS Vita in Japan this September.

Famitsu has gone up with its first online preview for Utawawerumono: False Mask, Aquaplus’ simulation RPG sequel coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita in Japan on September 24.
Here’s how the story begins:
When I came to, I was standing somewhere in the wilderness where the snow was falling.
I don’t know why I’m in a place like this.
Rather, my memory… I can’t remember what kind of person I am, or even my name.
I stood still, shocked at the situation.
But, as if to ridicule me, a giant bug-like “monster” suddenly attacked.
I was cornered as I desperately tried to escape. I was in an extremely dangerous situation.
But then a girl gallantly appeared.
Her name was Kuon, and this beautiful girl with animal-like ears and a tail, saved my life.
The game’s first two characters are also introduced:
Haku (voiced by Keiji Fujiwara)
When Kuon rescues Haku from the place where he had fallen, she gave him his name. Since he lost most of his memory, his identity is not clear.
Kuon (voiced by Risa Taneda)
A doctor with animal-like ears and a tail. While away from home for pleasure, she comes across the hero.
The game’s staff includes:
