War & Peace
Glad I forgot about this shyt.

Just finished the US version yesterday and, from the sounds of this thread, the UK version seems to be a must-watch. I was planning on moving on to binging "Top Boy" on Netflix afterward, but that may have to wait.
I sought this thread out without knowing it was already cancelled and for some reason, I assumed this was more popular. I was hoping to see what the discussion was about Mr. Rabbit's master plan because it's been eating at me all day...
...especially given what's going on in the world right now.![]()
The whole plan is to control the population without having to "kill" a lot of people. By rendering a lot of the population infertile, people would just naturally die off and only a small sub-population would be able to reproduce. I haven't watched the US version so I don't know if they covered this information but this was the plan in the UK version.
Yeah, Mr. Rabbit explains it in the finale of the US version. Of course, it's absurd but I went to work later and couldn't stop thinking about it because....I could actually see a significant number of people getting on board with a plot like that, especially this past year.
Then, of course, I thought about the vaccine we have coming out now and my mind wandered, but I'm not really one for conspiracies. However, I was so intrigued at the concept that I had to know what other people thought about it.
even made certain protagonists switch sides. This idea has probably been toyed around with by those with power. Africa for sure has been a testing site with all the "humanatarian" aid coming in with vaccines that do more than they should. I woulnd't even call it a conspiracy but a foregone conclusion that at some point we will run out of resources for a lot of humans. What happens though is those who start off with genuine intentions either lose their way and begin to consolidate power, so what was initially a " lets reduce population to prevent all out catastrophe" could potentially turns into " I don't like this certain group of people, lets make sure we reduce how many of them exist"remember to spoiler tagOn ep4 season 2 of UK version.
Watched US version on strength of this thread.
I personally thought it was kinda dope.
Yet after watching the UK version, I see where the US version drags on etc.
The writing a lot more convoluted.
What I did like was the use of the comics more in the US version.
And now I see the ridiculousness in writing in Jessica killing Becky, the reason for splitting the original character in two, to add a "spin" or "layer" to the Jessica Hyde character.
