That is the exact Reason why the comparison was made :mjlol:

Bobby's career is more comparable to Paula Abdul than Michael Jackson.
They both had their 15 minutes of Solo fame and that was it. Next Was Hammer then his time was over. :yeshrug:

Career wise you got it

On the other hand if we're talking influence it is really no comparison. Bobby influenced the next 30 years of black music in the same amount of time NWA did.

Bad Boy R&B?
Hip Hop/R&B?

That's what Bob rode to the top.

Jodeci?
Robert?
Usher?
Chris Brown?

All them guys borrowed from either the image or the creative approach. Paula doesn't have that reach at all. It's too difficult to distinguish what she brought to the table versus Janet so all the credit ends up going to the latter. Whether nikkax want to give Bob that credit what can't be debated is that something changed between Mike and everyone that came after Bob :yeshrug:

I got you... but don't front on Paula. She Choreographed for Janet in the Control Era and I'm sure she influenced many of the female pop stars/Dancers of the late 90's who also was inspired by Janet.

Exactly, every modern R&B singer owes Bobby

She wasn't a singer though.

She didn't sing her songs.

Now, if you wanna talk about her being a choreographer,, then fine, but she's not in the same class as a MUSIC artist.

Now, if you wanna compare Paula Abdul to somebody, compare her to J. Lo.

Neither one of them can sing.

Both have ghost singers

Both were dancers and hoed around Hollywood with rich & famous men.

There's your comparison
