If you're a black artist, you need to have one of the Big Dogs (Dre, Em, Puff, Will.I.Am - used to be Polow, Akon and Timbo too but they havent done shyt there lately) by your side guiding you to stand a chance with Jimmy Iovine, and even then, if your album doesn't perform great out the gate, they just move on (see Yelawolf, MGK, etc)

you picked several songs on there that i would've picked if i had to recommend this album to someone


i just think the album is weak from tracks 10-15 (with the exception of the nas one) and the missy and swizz joints


i like the stevie one depending on my mood

if you mix in the largest mixtape release run, in rap history.
With the tracklist for big bang and busta's mixtape run wit that album.
Argueably it is one of the greatest consistent bulk releases of material in rap history.
The high quality work that went to waste when busta was over there is mind boggling.
Obviously, if we take that and a few situations like rakim, and even raekwon.
It kinda rings bells as to give vado's comments a bit of credence.
yet, and still if vado got better vocal tonality.
He could easily have translated.
His convincability is lost because, vado is offkey.
It is recognizable on any soundscape that is not a NY club style record.
As that is vado's natural sweetspot.
As he came up in an era of club music for ny rap.
If you check the party single from guns&butter, you can hear where vado is at his best at this current skill level.
Yet, when it comes to versatility and lack of vocal tonality.
Vado's convincability is lost because he is offkey.
If he shored that up,...he possibly could have performed or given interscope what they had an idea for in scope.
Yet, coupled with interscope is really a label.
That only used to get it for artist's records who have an undeniable pop draw permeation.
Interscope is not somewhere that an artist like vado is going to be able to draw solidly.
When you survey , how vado is currently built skillwise as a base.
If vado,...got better vocal tonality,..he could translate to pretty much any sonic soundscape.
As he has the technical writing ability to write the records.
It is just as a vocal performer.
He has not got what the bomb squad called the clamp.
When the bomb squad was working up an artist for success as a youth like busta and lons.

yea becayse we believe it was Vado's decision to leave interscope

they probably had no problem letting him go since he was supposedly only signed as a bargaining chip so Cam and them would sign and Cam dug his heels in because he didn't want to do a reunion album like that.

look at the video of Dipset and Dr. Dre at Jim's studio... Cam did not want to be there at all.
he taking it easy..he don't give a fukk and its obvious in his new music..breh just gets bored and throws out a throwaway song, while poppin up at streetwear brand parties doing a couple songs for the hipsters.
