A Florida valet worker ditched business for pleasure when he took a Lamborghini for a spin near Lincoln Road Mall in Miami Beach. But the valet didn't expect the $400,000 luxury sports car to catch fire when he over-revved the engine while passing crowds of people. In a video captured by a passerby, the valet can be seen stressing out about the flaming car. Another person comes into the frame to spray the flames with a fire extinguisher, but it's too late: The car was undriveable and had to be pushed down the street.

Actually they could. I wasn't gross negligence on the owner's part.

any lawyer will bring up that it is known knowledge them type cars do that when you rev the engine carelessly.
gross negligence is carelessness in a serious way.
i dont think insurance will take that bullet on the whole $$ lost.
someone else has to pay.. either they pay out a little or nothing.
i doubt that is covered under insurance. its not an accident. :yeshrug:

you really think insurance is gonna claim that??
its gross negligence

Stop.

They have Commercial Auto policies that provide coverage for businesses that specifically have services like this. Their insurance will cover it but I wouldn't be surprised if they terminate them right after paying out for the damages.
