how is the situation with GTA V that different from games that come out on PC first? and that's the "prime example" because it's pretty much the only example. most multi-plats launch on all platforms the same day

and the quality of 'system selling' console exclusives seems to be pretty low recently. but then again Knack looked fun in streams... but never the less, if you buy a PS4, it won't play Wii-U games, and so on. no matter what you choose, you're gonna be missing out on something. unless you buy all the systems, in which case a living room PC might also fit into that. word to @winb83

I'm not here to force anyone to be a PC gamer. but the PC platform has games, and some of them are very popular. being a very open platform, it will be the first place to see most indie games that are trying to do something different. it also has rather cheap games, and backwards compatibility that can take advantage of new hardware. plus modding and other user-created content. and the ability to tweak games settings, and upgrade hardware. with a console you have no option to spend more money to get better performance

you can write all of that off as "b-b-but console players don't want to play those games...", but I think that is rather short-sighted

give me an example of games like gta5 that come out on pc first...naw, it's not the only example, i used it cause it's the most recent example of a game consoles got first.....

even if they are 'pretty low' as you call them, they are still console exclusives...what are the pc exclusives console owners should get excited about?....and yea, you'll be missing out on something unless you own all systems...

yea, you can do a lot of shyt with pcs, but that still doesnt answer what i asked: you keep saying pc has all these games, yet you still havent named 1 game that is pc exclusive or pc gets first before consoles that's a huge game like gta5....you can call it short sighted all you want, but if pc doesnt have games that console players want to play, why would they pay more for one of these systems instead of copping from ms, sony, or nin?...that's the whole point of these systems, to go after some of the consoles players, get some of that money......so what games does pc have that consoles doesnt?...i'm not trying to be funny nor a smart ass, that's a serious question...that's all i've been asking.....

the obvious example of a popular game that's only on PC is Dota2. you can try to shoot down that game, but the numbers don't lie. it's also very popular in Asia, where supposedly no one cares about PC gaming

CounterStrike GO is widely regarded as the best competitive FPS out right now. it came out on the PS360, but all the updates the PC version has seen makes it a very different animal. COD and BF4 are on PC, where they also have superior graphics and performance. plus a resurgence of arena-shooters, like Unreal Tournament, Toxikk, and whatever game Cliffy B is working on. what console exclusives are on top of that genre now? Halo MCC and... Killzone?

last year saw a bunch of quality PC RPG's like Divinity OS, Shadowrun Dragonfall, and Wasteland 2. it's now been confirmed that at least Wasteland 2 is coming to consoles

it should be pointed out that PC doesn't have "exclusives", because PC isn't a company that can put money in a hat. if a game is only on PC, it's probably because it's the most open platform, and/or the game works best with mouse/kb. that also goes for the above games that came out first on PC

why are you being so defensive?...i havent knocked pc gaming once nor have i downplayed the games it has...also, the games didnt have to be as big as gta5, i was just asking for examples of a big name game pc gets first...i only used gta5 cause that's a big name game at the moment that consoles have that pc is waiting for.....anyway, thanks for answering...
