True, some in HL were calling him a c00n for marrying a white women (I believe). Just bring receipts next time instead of saying "ya'll" in a 7 post thread.
But back to the topic, I think Van is a dude that ATTEMPTS to see every side of an argument. He goes above and beyond to not seem threatening. With that said, he knows how it is to be left in the dark and blackballed by the administration - similar to Bernie - so I'm sure he was venting a bit as well.
