I still think they can’t pull it off.
A lot of what they are doing is based on magical thinking and out of touch with reality and the consequences of what their actions will be for the country as well as their constituents.
The fact their philosophy is based on a guy who looks and sounds like this primary way of interacting with people is he trolls people on the internet says a lot. The fact they are taking policy recommendations from the severely bias Heritage Foundation also says a lot. None of these groups operate in reality, and instead function based on theory and dogma.

This is the thing I hate about tech. A ton of social awkward folks who grew up on weird stuff I'm the 70s-90s taking their "revenge tour". When you had the party animal coked out Finance cats running stuff they didn't fake being smart they were just finessers. With the tech stuff you would think those dudes would be like "just let me build innovative stuff and leave me alone", but deep down they also want to be seen as the cool guy or "mighty hero", hence they become obessed with dictators, monarchs, etc. And becoming the "benevolent dictator" who saves "dumb people" from themselves and exterminates their "enemies"

Myself and several other posters have brought up the Thiel/Vance/Yarvin/Musk connection. It got ignored or dismissed.
