Ross didn't even like the job..

He wanted a "certain" position there and was denied. Dude wanted to get into the main unit so he could make some paper the under the table by letting cats finger their ladies during visitation and bringing in some weed. I think Ross knew too many folks in the main unit so word got around to the higher ups and was denied. After that he quit. That was from his book so go read it.
