Venue cancels Dave Chappelle's show last minute over transgender jokes controversy

I'm still confused why Dave Chappelle is obsessed with the trans community. He's being going hard at them for the last couple specials now. Not saying he should be cancelled, but that topic is stale.

He's explicitly said he's done telling jokes about them already until they're all on the same page that it's comedy and are all laughing together

Basically Chappelle is the only person in Hollywood who pushes back when people demand apologies and all that. In his mind he’s fighting for artistic expression and he’s also incredibly wealthy and popular so he probably feels like he has the platform where he can do so without the risk of losing anything. So he cracked some jokes about trans folks and he’s now fighting a holy war in his mind with that community which is why he’s still talking about them.

This is what i have been telling folks, chappelle is slowing turning into a joke and culture warrior whose only talked about for his transgender stances.
When you have evil conservatives propping you up solely because you shyt on transgender folks, same conservative folks who supported zimmerman and rittenhouse then you should know your in the wrong.

I could give af about the culture war, the fact of the matter is this comedian victimization wave is ruining some of my favorite comics. Whenever Burr or Chappelle start talking about that lgbt/cancel culture shyt I just fast forward, so fukking boring.

Read the article, seems like they indeed cancelled the show because of his content. The fact that he booked another venue doesn't change that, I mean it's Dave Chappelle and the show was sold out.....somebody was going take the business.
This one incident ain't going hurt or change his stance though. Going take bigger venues in more important cities and Netflix to try and control him before he has to make some decisions

That topic is one of the most pervasive things in our country/world today, BECAUSE the trans community has campaigned to be heard, validated and accepted. Expecting people, especially comedians to bypass it alltogether is asanine.

You can't ask to have your issues put front and center, petition for people to participate in changing the world to be more inclusive of you and THEN say you can't have any input unless I like it, it DOES NOT WORK LIKE THAT.

Pay attention to a lot of his detractors and so called 'fans' that wish he'd just go back to telling jokes about black people selling drugs. He cracked on asians, jews and even told a "Clifford the big black n1gger" joke In The Closer and NOBODY said a word about any of it. He says how odd/funny it would be to watch a trans-man have to back their p*ssy up to a urinal and all hell breaks loose.
