Powerful. Much respect for that.

You have to understand the subtleties of what's going on. If you are unaware you can miss the interviewers' tactics, but daddy didn't. Fine line between confidence and arrogance and the interviewer was attempting to push her toward a side that would shine her in a bad light - the arrogant light which would have drawn ire. Pops saw it, and put a stop to it. Good one.

Wack. She could handle herself.
this shyt. She's a kid bro. I would do the same for my nephews it's what your suppose to do as a parent.Wack. She could handle herself.
Tired of these bigots trying to find fault in young black athletes having aspirations. They pervert confidence into arrogance as if we are to be meek people at all times. Look at the hoopla over Geno expecting to be a top 5 qb.
"Don't have expectations for yourself, negro."
We need more black parents refusing to allow the world to strip our children of their expectations. I feel Richard being protective over it
at this example. The fatherless dont understand this. That is his job as a parent to keep then safe from that bullshyt.Yes she could, and she was, cuz daddy taught her well. But that's not the point.
She wasn't going to be there to "handle" anything when that video was edited up and served as 'Venus, the arrogant 14 year old phenom.'
Dude needed to be checked and daddy was the proper one to do the checking, not a 14 year old girl.
I had a discussion about it with a beat writer. Dude can't have expectations for himself? It's a trend in how blacks are treated.at this example.
