Verizon customers who still have unlimited data will be throttled on 3G and 4G

I wonder what the throttling will be like.

VZW always had throttling but it was only when necessary. Like when they had too much traffic in an area they would throttle that top 5% but only until the bandwidth cleared up.

I used to be a power user on VZW, 40 gigs a month minimum, so I took the time to understand their throttling policy. It seems like they could just be applying that to 4G now as well. If that's the case, it honestly shouldn't effect you that much.

Yeah no wifi lol. I was getting decent speeds on 3G, streaming sports and downloading movies. Unlimited means unlimited.

I use roughly 20gbs of data a month so this is gonna be a huge annoyance to me.

I'm one of them customers. This is bullshyt. I've been with them for, shyt 10-15 years, and this is the thanks I get? Awesome.

This is the foundation of thier business model. They don't hive a shyt about current customers, only potential new ones.

even my moms called me last week talkin bout get her a new iphone off craigslist cuz she didn't wanna lose her unlimited data

I dont even think she uses that much data, I suggested she trade in the iphone 4 for like $40 and either get the 5C or 5S since she said she ain't care about the 6 and the 5S is only $100 and 5C is $50. she could get a 5C for like $15 when it's all said an done.

how do you use so much data on ur phone? are u using it as a hotspot or are you constantly streaming music like pandora and what not?

Just switch to T-Mobile. Streaming music doesn't count against your data

I used 10 gigs today from 8pm last night until 8am this morning. I hacked my BlackBerry to enable mobile hot spot and I use that at work. If the cable at the crib is acting up I turn it on at home too. I'll have to see how bad this throttling is

My homeboy who used to work at VZW said when they first dropped unlimited most of the people complaining were using less than a gig a month anyway. It was just the hot complaint.

As I stated earlier this really won't effect people like they think. VZW only throttles when the network is jammed and that rarely ever happens.

I work 10 to 12 hrs a day. My phone is always streaming something then when im on break im checking videos and web surfing.

Whether you use as much data as you can on your cell, its just nice to know that you don't have to worry about caps.

I go to Panera Bread and don't even have to use the wifi cause my LTE + hotspot on my phone. I'm paying for it, why not use it?
