these prices :dahell:
Verizon lost their mind -- which is why I'm not with them. I understand about the remote areas where you don't get service, and I travel to a lot of them. Verizon asks for too much, no matter where you go in the States. The worst part is being in a Verizon area and still getting shytty service. fukk all that.
Those GB prices are laughable. People need to shop around.

These new plans actually work for me and the fam. We just switched over, not 2 weeks ago, to the $80/10GB plan. We own all of our phones, so that line access price drop will help, plus my corp disc. We gone jump to that 12GB plan.

I know what the rest of the wireless field look like. I left big red for "cheaper pricing" and sacrificed coverage and stability.
I RAN back..:yeshrug:

@invincible1914 appreciate the legit info from a rep.

Got a note 4 for $99

I am going to rock with this phone for years
Matta fact I'm waiting for the price drop and I can just buy another note 4 for as cheap as possible and have that as a backup

All these new phones are down grading and don't have removable batteries
Added storage

So the note 4 is and will be the best phone out for the next 2-4 years

Samsung & LG are among a few phone manufacturers really offering new innovative smart phones so I disagree that the top end future models are/will eventually be of lesser quality spec wise. However I agree that the Note 4 is one of the last, great top tier handsets (LG has some very nice handsets, just not a fan of their phones) that still have a removable battery. Samsung could have cornered the higher end handset market by making the new upcoming Note 5 with a removable battery, as they already have the Galaxy S6,Galaxy S6 Edge along with a larger Galaxy S6 Edge Plus coming soon with non-replaceable batteries.

You know what? Now that I keep getting daps, I am convinced that this is nothing more than a bait and switch.

I bet in a few years the prices will stay the same, but you are forced to put $$ down to lock into a 2 year contract anyway.

I see you big red.

I just came for Verizon. I did the monthly payments BC they said I was eligible for an upgrade. So instead of paying 650 for phone Im paying 288 all together. Plus they gave me a $100 bill credit. :ehh: Not bad...

U might have gotten the bill credit.. But vest nelive u will pay 650 for it.. What they did t tell u is how much ur plan would b if u paid off the phone

Yeah... I don't see how this change helps the business or the customer. If you're going to pay full price anyway, why not just do prepaid? It's pretty much the same service but cheaper with no messy contracts and no worrying about overages. Plus you can leave whenever you want... if you have a phone like the nexus 6 that you can put on any network you want.

$45 on prepaid with autopay gets you unlimited talk text and 2GB. Another $20 gets you an extra 3GB ($10 fo 1GB) and that extra 3 rolls over for 90 days so that's $65 for 5GB and you may not even have to pay $65 every month. 6gigs on the new plan is at least 80 plus you have to pay taxes.

When they subsidize phones they have to keep them on the balance sheet as a liability........ that's the main reason for these switches to get them shyts off the balance sheet.

I see what you saying and that's exactly why it was done... to pass all the cost of the phone subsidy to the customer. This move is also in response to the margins on Apple devices (there is none we sell them at the same price we buy them) hence the timing of the move. But the thing is, nobody's moving to these new plans. I only signed up one dude and that was because he was a new customer and had no choice. We are selling out of the low cost android phones and selling fewer of the high price phones like the iphone. So far it looks like a flop... with customers on those old nationwide plans it takes way too long explain and position it in a way the customer can see the benefits especially the fact that they will lose 2 year pricing permanently once they move. But right now I'm all about getting tablets out... and hopefully we will have some promotions coming up that will make things more enticing.

lol man I`m getting tired of explaining this stuff.

Two yr contract plans cost more than "financing" plans, an iPhone isn't worth no damn 200 bucks, you pay 200 bucks and promise to stay for 2 yrs, the contracted plan cost more than a finance plan so even after 2 yrs you promised to stay your plan stays the same even if you dont get a phone. With a finance plan when you pay the phone off the plan drops in price. This stuff is basic math, so either you guys have never compared plans side by side or just are not good at math. IDK what else to tell you guys.
Naw breh can't speak for anyone else. But I dropped a 200$ payment for iPhone 6 (which I will get back In a month) my bill is only 60$ For 2 years. And the phone is mine after my contract is up
