Yeah, this is inherently false. Verne is nearing Tim McCarver status, and Danielson is just...blah. Other than those already mentioned (Herbie/Brent, Nessler, and All-Time GOATS Jackson/Griese), one of the most underrated duos was Tessitore and Gilmore. They always did the Friday Night ESPN games, and always (seriously) seemed to get the crazy ass games. ESPN, being the intelligent entity that they are , decided to break 'em up, and moved Tess to Saturdays. They could've atleast kept 'em together. They really fukked up a good thing with that one.

That season opening Baylor/TCU game from 2 seasons ago with Tess/Gilmore...and yea you right it seemed like they always got games like that.
