This came to my head after I was listening to this joint:

Where Mecca Star (third verse) literally sounds like Jeru The Damaja rapping through a woman's voice :mjlol:

So it got me wondering what other songs are out there where you can immediately tell who actually wrote it.

holy shyt that really does sound like Jeru with a different voice

Her best song, in my opinion....definitely my favorite Latifah song. And yeah, definitely Treach.

In fact Da Youngstas whole album is nothing but little Treach clones...especially since he was their "mentor":

Treach was doing mad writing in the early 90's. For a lot of people. Dude is quietly one of the greats.

Apache was writing a lot for Latifah too. He wrote her biggest record, "U.N.I.T.Y." Got her a Grammy for that joint.

Diddy had this young rapper named Aasim as his protege. He wrote a bunch on Press Play & Last Train To Paris, including this song (co-wrote with Nas), Tell Me, and even We Gon Make It. That album has some obvious ghostwriters..... Wanna Move (T.I.), Diddy Rock (S/O Ness!)

Outside of the obvious Diddy/Dre songs, the obvious ghostwriters are scattered. Hov got some obvious placements on Foxy's debut and even some on Amil's.

For Bow Wow, it's pretty clear Da Brat, Kurupt, & T.I. ghostwrote for him.

Royce wrote tell me, i posted that one earlier, that was one his signature flows he was using during that time.

Looking back, it's pretty clear Wayne ghostwrote all these bars for Bow Wow. This was right around the time that he signed to Cash Money too... Song still goes kinda hard though

Calling himself Bow Weezy :mjlol:

Talking about playing for the Hornets :dwillhuh:

I knew it!!!!!!....I had debates about this verse cause she spit it exactly like Jeru would have did a reference track for her to spit and she did a carbon copy..

Gonna get a few of yall angry with this

Picture Ghost's verse with Superb's voice and it makes 100x more sense

Do the same with Trife's voice here

Love, love Ghost but at this point it's not even a debate that Superb was instrumental in that Supreme Clientele/Bulletproof Wallets era..his pen was so distinctive you had to hear his voice and inflections coming through the rhymes..but Ghost just spit it so much better..

Nas 100 percent wrote those verse for Bags & Horse! He formatted specifically for them too!

All verses were similar and incredible
