I don't know where this rumor originated but it has to be on of the dumbest hip hp rumors ever.

First of all, I don't even see where people say it sounds like Lupe wrote the song.

Second, the third verse is about some guy named Bobalob who Lupe never even met. Bob is Biggs older brother.

Third you think if this were true, and people had knowledge, that it would have been exposed with proof by now? Seriously, you think people would be able to keep a secret that the "God MC" had a track ghostwritten for him.

Fourth: What other tracks has Jay Z had written for him? If a rapper is on his 7th or 8th album, and enlist someone to ghostwrite a track for him, you would assume it wouldn't be his first time.

Fifth, I lost for even giving this attention

It's not that serious l. Jay is one my favorites Y'all take this shyt way to serious. It's a music business.

Second. Wrote doesn't mean the whole song word for word. jay z is a genius IMO so he most likely added his own shyt to it

It is what it is but even in the black album videos Kanye already had the hook for the song

Take a hook here and there. Take some verse structure and make em fit you is not even a big deaL

lol Eminems pen game is top notch but he gets songs with hooks already done and shyt all the time.

And you really think everything gets exposed. People like em,jay etc status is so high no one will talk

shyt holly weird hides so much disgusting shyt you think people wouldn't expose it.

It's called contracts not to talk. You'll get signed if you play ball. If not you're never gonna work in the business again

I hope you are young because every facet of business is covered with a giant smoke screen of shyt. That's another thread for another day though

I guess we can agree to disagree, definitely nothing wrong with that. I'm not debating about the hook though, Kanye clearly already had the hook. Tracks with the hook on them is common practice in the rap biz, so I see nothing wrong with any rapper doing a track with a pre made hook. Where we have a difference of opinion at is the verses. I think they were 100% Jay.

Somewhere on an Xbox
Diddy's verses on "It Has Been Said" and "Everything I Love". Very clear that Nas, and either Eminem and/or Obie Trice wrote those. Also, Rick Ross oviously wrote stuff for him between 09-11.

And recently, Drake's "Big Amount" lyrics. 2Chainz's pen game was glorious on both him and Drake's verses.
:patrice: you sure he wrote that? Might've been hush...

Odb on "Brooklyn zoo"

Slacking on your macking cause raw's what you lack
You wanna react? Bring it on back

Is the most GZA line ever

:ohhh:
I remember first listening to this jawn and being impressed but then remembering that the verses were a little toooooo coherent for ODB's stylings, not to diss him i fukked with dirt, but those worlds I bolded do kinda resemble wording by GZA
