This format really shined a light on how good Jada is and it made every Dipset round seem lyrically weak in comparison. Even when Dipset was hitting hard with one of their hits I couldn't help but compare the actual rapping skill to Jada's. And it's crazy how good his delivery is live.

And this man was showing mercy and pulling punches, sheesh. Didn't even get into The Champ Is Here outside of a few seconds of the beat and decided not to 'cheat' with the Made You Look Remix. Who cares if that's not his song, could you imagine how crazy the crowd would've gone to that?

what’s crazy is that normally, you’d expect the artist on stage to play THEIR own songs, but with the Lox, even with their feats., you knew all the words. Like the crowd was spittin their feat verses verbatim.. that’s wild to think about.

I think, that’s why I originally had dipset winning, cause I was thinking about their own catalogs solely (I was still wrong on that), but styles and Jada had such an impact with their 16’s on feat tracks lol... almost as memorable as the hook... that’s impressive

Jay is a good performer. He’s good on stage. Used to be bad. Today he’s obviously much better. If he can control the format and the layout. Yes. He’s washing Kiss. And that’s off records and presence alone. But as far as raw performance? Kiss is better. shyt cats like Cole and Kendrick are better.

Jada may edge Jay out in terms of performance due to his energy but at the same time Jay still is a good enough performer with a catalog thats hard to beat especially in that type of setting. So any advantage Jada has in terms of performance is lost due to the catalog that Jay has. Plus unlike dipset Jay still can perform well.

There's times where Jay is absolutely brilliant on stage. Cole and Kendrick may be better but I haven't watched enough videos of their live performances to really give my opinion on them vs. Jay. And I love Nas...nikkas know he's my GOAT...but he's not messing with Jay on stage. He's gotten better but I've seen too many performances of his where he's not completing lines of his verses, average breath control, and a few times seeming like he's high or tipsy. That said, I've seen some topnotch performances from him but he's not as good as Jay.

Jada is one of those rappers that's not considered an undisputed top 5 artist but, in a one on one, he can hang with almost any of them.

He’s Tracy McGrady. He has all of the skills and talent the top rappers have but there’s just something missing that prevented him from making deep playoff runs/classic albums to have him in the elite legend class. But everyone recognizes the talent.
