what’s crazy is that normally, you’d expect the artist on stage to play THEIR own songs, but with the Lox, even with their feats., you knew all the words. Like the crowd was spittin their feat verses verbatim.. that’s wild to think about.

I think, that’s why I originally had dipset winning, cause I was thinking about their own catalogs solely (I was still wrong on that), but styles and Jada had such an impact with their 16’s on feat tracks lol... almost as memorable as the hook... that’s impressive

Pretty much. They had a lot of guest features where they had a big impact like that, some where honestly I think of them (usually Jada) before the main artist on the track. Just one example that wasn't part of the battle tonight--the Sunshine Anderson Heard It All Before remix, the way Kiss matched the melody with his verse, he pretty much took over that track.

It wasn't about it being in New York, Juelz took a big L because Jada laughed at the notion of not having any songs for the ladies and immediately went into like a six song set of hits that were catered to the ladies, all of which were big hits for the most part. I feel like The Lox and Dipset had this all planned to some degree and Juelz might've even known The Lox was going to have a set specifically for the ladies, which makes it even more foolish that he was taunting them on that subject.
