NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
From the beginning, Dipset's energy wasn't right.

Michael Buffer announcing them and them taking so long to show up.

All the people on stage that was hanging with them. LOX was basically just them three.

LOX were prepared. Dipset started cramming 3 songs in one turn (and they did that cuz they knew the first song wasn't getting the reaction they wanted). Every time the LOX dropped a song, the crowd reacted like the next Royal Rumble entrant was coming out.

Juelz not knowing the words to his songs and generally lost up there.

Dipset had some cringeworthy songs they put out at the wrong time and by the time they dropped some good shyt, they were buried.

LOX played Banned From TV (a song Cam was on too). Cam shoulda played Never Scared Remix just to counter. Instead they played Crunk Muzik :smh:
Dips DJ was trash. They shoulda used Kay Slay for one. And they just shoulda been more prepared. ESPECIALLY Juelz. They just can’t perform. Never could.

I just named hip hop & r&b royalty and you act like that ain't a fkn cheat code

Their own records wasn't gonna carry them

I know the truth hurts

:laff:

Every versus whether it’s rap or r&b people do this. They add their features into it, if it’s them on a song making a significant contribution it’s fair game

took it too far breh.

at one point dipset was the only thing in new york giving g-unit a challenge. let's not re-write history.
And those groups STILL weren't loved like 90s NY drug dealer hip hop. Yall got what I"m talking about really fukked up.

Wish they would of locked the poll before it started

The click jumpers know who they are.

Personally - I thought the LOX would win based off cohesion and longevity - I didn't see Dipset coming out not gelling and not being on top of their catalogue

This is SERIOUS cap. Not even close to true. I can tell the nikkas on here that was either too old, too young, or just not outside during their run. Lol
My dude....the dudes who popped Zeeky were my people from NA Rock. PLEASE don't bring me up and shyt. I'm speaking real street Niqqas weren't feeling Dip Set to the degree they did the Lox.

Dip Set, G-Unit and that era represents the time when NY street niqqas and what we were listening to no longer dictated what was going to be played....real talk.

Wherever nikkas need to be told on
nope quality all the way

that's why they stood the test of time. all the hot dudes who didn't particularly care about their song writing or stuck to current trends age the worst and fastest. Juelz was indeed a swag rapper but it took time for it to fully reveal itself on how much his flow and demeanour carried him at a young age.
I thought it was crazy then but it seems downright insane that Rakim co-signed him. :hubie:He just never had the talent to deserve that.

Not really bruh. shyt...I stopped roaming the streets like that by then, but it was never the street love rap I saw goons and street niqqas loved to the degree the Lox were. It simply wasn't. It wasn't the same.

They music was BIG in the town, regardless of how you wanna flip it. We not doing the Lox or anybody favors by trying to rewrite history. Dipset not being big in NY is not even remotely true.

NY Hip Hop already fell of when G-Unit was on top. It wasn't street niqqas and what we were listening to that dictated what was getting spun any longer. The Lox represent the last of the era of what NY niqqas on the block wanted to listen to that got heavy play as a result of it. This is around the time when wack ass Ebro and company helped destroy NY hip hop.

Nah u just cappin. U know how many blood nikkas loved Dipset and Cam? Streets fukked wit all 3 HEAVY but The Lox was for the gutter nikkas. This is why I always put them over everything else. But let’s not rewrite history wit this shyt. Dipset WAS NY at one point. Their whole stadium sound. The Ground Zero/9/11/Taliban themed music. That shyt was NYC but was NEW NYC. D Block and The Lox was more traditional.

It was big by way of Ebro and other radio personalities, not by what niqqas in the street wanted.

All that shyt was New York fell off rap but was radio relevant.

The biased part of me thought Jada could take Dipset by himself, but I thought that was a troll

I thought it would be kinda close but lox would take it. Looks like my original opinion right after all :wow:

NOPE!

I'm going to keep saying that them Ebro type cats did more to make these dudes more relevant than the streets dictating what gets played on New York radio.

The Lox were the LAST of the groups where what we followed on the streets was then followed on the radio. The last.
