Last night was epic. The Lox put on a live show clinic last nite. I hope these little nikkas took notes becuz this is how you create a long career for yourself in hip hop. Even when your no longer making hits your live show will keep you relevant. We been blessed to see Red and Meth on Versuz and now the Lox

This - all the 'sauce' shyt is cute in the moment , but if you're earnest and stay on top of your craft that shyt will pay you back for years to come. Last night was a perfect example.

I'm still :mindblown:that Cam got booed.

I really stayed up to damn near after six in the AM while on vacation watching this on some janky Italian internet.
despite Dipset's poor performance, the energy from the show had me wanting to stay up. I've had like three and a half hours of sleep.

so let me ramble.

The LOX, Jada specifically put on a clinic for a second time in this Verzuz.
it showed why in New York, Jada is second to Jay-Z in the way he's beloved.. he might not have the albums but everybody loves Kiss.

there was a point very early on were as soon as Cam finally came on the stage it felt like the show was about to revolve around him.
yet, he sat his ass down on a chair thinking he was above it and thats when Jada took control.

this summed Dipset up actually, too cool to prepare. more concerned with showing off the new pieces.
its the story of their career..legends and a great run but if they had actually planned shyt and never fell out, the run would have went longer.

Jim got too high/drunk, Juelz is an annoying crackhead who's hard to watch at times and he made it more aggy than needed to be.
you could see Cam get annoyed with them and go into business for himself... thats whenever he could be bothered.

he put up 40 in a loss.

I still can't believe the songs Dipset left on the table.

The LOX did something you only see in movies were the underdog takes the crowd from 50/50 to everybody is cheering for them.
to the point the crowd even turned on Cam.

Cam tried to go into I'm the real star here, I'll have the last word shyt at the end but it was too late and the crowd weren't jacking it.
he had lost and it was home time. hit him with the

:camby:

Dipset could have won in a set 30 playlist battle...but with the crowd and the battle ready approach it was Living off Experience all day.
showman ship, chemistry and the most ready song selection won over typical Harlem shyt.

if this was G-Unit against either two..they way they were talking to each other this was probably escalating into violence

now back to my vacation.

Imagine Sheek screaming at Yayo :pachaha:

Real talk the savviest hip hop move of the late 90’s/early 00’s was Jay Z sharking Jadakiss on those R Kelly & Mya remixes. And then avoiding Jada and letting Beans battle him.

Completely blocked Kiss from hitting the peak he was gonna hit. He’s a far better emcee and bboy than any of his peers.

Y’all gettin carried away now. The amount of content g unit has that was poppin is ridiculous. Their mixtape shyt went mainstream. Would be close maybe but the unit just had more shyt poppin.
And that’s with just 50, banks and yayo. Wouldn’t even be fair if buck or game was still around.
50 always has the crowd lit. Just went to a banks show in Brooklyn. Dude had the crowd goin crazy.
NY fukks wit them HEAVY. We all know yayo is hyped all the time.

Jada easily is the vs MVP... make it a cam vs Jada rematch
I'll always fukk with Cam but Jada needs a higher caliber emcee for competition in Versuz from here on out.

Cam is dope and has an underrated solo catalogue that would be good in this format, but Jada proved himself to be too elite at every aspect of being an emcee.

A lot of times I think the word emcee can be corny or pretentious, but it's a disservice to just call Jada a rapper after the type of performance he just had.

I'm with everything @Billy Ocean has said about Jada all throughout the thread so far

It’s two entirely different lanes. Missy isn’t a good rapper and doesn’t have hard shyt. She’s got R&B and club shyt on lock, but Work It isn’t gonna work (no pun intended) as a response to something like fukk You.

This also works in reverse because it's not like Jada could respond with a song like that to counter "Work It", which largely depends on the audience and mood. And Missy does in fact have hard songs. She could drop "Is That Your Chick", which features her. There's the "Hot Boyz" remix with Nas, Eve, and Q Tip. There's "U Can't Resist" with B.G. and Juve. What Missy doesn't have are grimey, I'll murder you type songs, which go beyond just being hard.

Lox would wash the Unit too.
50 is trash on stage
I agree.

I was sticking up for G-Unit big time too in the thread from earlier this year (or maybe it was 2020) about G-Unit vs Dipset. G-Unit had a lot of fire, a lot of hits, and each member had decent solo material.

I think the problem for G-Unit in a Versuz is that they'd have no group cohesion. Even when G-Unit briefly reunited in the 2010's, they didn't sound like the chemistry was there. When is the last time G-Unit performed together? There might even be friction currently among multiple members.
:unimpressed:
The idea that G-Unit could just get on stage together and fukk with The Lox just because they had dope music and chemistry in the 15+ years ago doesn't mean anything. They'd get washed.

The Lox have never broken up or had any public fallouts. Those dudes are brothers that have always consistently recorded together and done shows together. They're too much of a force for G-Unit.

I’m a Cam stan not Dipset and I agree Jada is elite despite not having that Redman or Jigga solo discography. But I’ll say it again Cam could go song for song if he was dolo

I be telling nikkas all the time, in the HOODS of NYC, nikkas treat Kiss like Hov. The hood don't be judging albums and shyt like that "Oh, such and such has 2 classics, he only got 1. Nah that album is only 4 mics" shyt. Lol. Don't nobody do that but us Hip Hop geeks on this message board. You gotta be immersed into the nuances of the culture to really be distinguishing shyt like that.

The whole hood was in that building, and it was pro Lox crowd from the GATE! There was definitely nikkas there to see Dipset, but the energy was different for the Lox immediately. Leaving the venue, so many grown men left feeling like their whole childhood was a lie.

The LOX did some inspirational movie type shyt, where they go into the enemies' territory where the crowds were originally against them, but left not only the winners, but the crowd switching up and praising them.
