Maybe on the West coast, but in NY hot ass summer days usually mean hot nights with high humidity and maybe if we're lucky a thunderstorm to cool shyt down around 5ish.

Been in the east since a teen, but as a person born in the southwest I can tolerate heat a little better, warm before it gets all the way hot is my favorite weather though
