And while I believe the government should not be the ones to determine what's "fake" or "real" news, I do believe something needs to be done to curb the spread of bullshyt like pizzagate or that fun time kidz daycare shyt - we've already seen the consequences of spreading that nonsense.
Which is a slippery slope that will lead to more internet censorship. Basically we need better education of how the news/reporting works and it would probably be nice if all the media outlets weren't owned by like 6 corporations too.
