Before you comment, ask yourself these questions. . .

1 - How many innocent civilians did you massacre by running them over with an SUV in GTA?

2 - How many Russian, Serbian, Afghani, Korean, Chinese, and many more ethnic soldiers have you literally committed genocide against in the likes of Call of Duty, Battlefield, and Medal of Honor?

3 - How many people have you curb stomped and cut in half with a chainsaw in Gears of War?

The only difference between any of those and this game is that those games gave you in your face context.

They are evil = Kill them!
They are the enemy = Kill them!
They disagree with us = Kill them!
We have a different ideology = Kill them!
You government said so = Kill them!
We have "evidence" to believe they may or may not do something bad in the unforeseen future = Kill them!

In games we kill because we can, many times ignoring the context altogether. Killing has become the primary objective in games. With or without context, it makes no difference. You Can! = Kill Them!

Those of us in the U.S. love the bask in the fact that we live in a "free" society and we have "freedom" of speech. This game is part of that system. It is no different than any of the ones mentioned above.

There is no sugar coating. If you have an issue, don't buy it. That's it. This game is doing nothing wrong. If you are offended, tough luck. The world isn't here to please you. If you can't take it then turn around and walk away.

I actually see a lot of artistic value in this. Everyone seems to see mindless killing, but I see a game that delves into the human psyche. Everyone at some point in their lives has thought about doing something terrible. It doesn't matter how good of a person you are, whether you want to admit it or not, you have considered something as despicable as this. Everyone has seen the horrible things others have done and thought to himself "What if I did something like this?" or maybe you've walked behind someone attractive, with no one around, and the thought crosses your mind "If I wanted to, I could do anything to her right now and nobody would know until it's too late".

This game captures those dark thoughts in a fictional world.

In life context is everything. And I really mean everything. Sure GTA might promote ideologies like hitting random people or running them over, but that's not the central theme of the game.

THE CENTRAL THEME of this game is something that any suicidal person can do. How many people can take this for inspiration and actually attempt to go out and do something like this.

I don't agree with games that take it too far like this. It plays a huge factor into why this society is regressing into something worse day by day.

This game looks disturbing. I have no intention of playing this. Outside of multiplayer ive never done any of those things on the op or unless it was in self defense. Every stealth game i play i do so completely nonlethally.

It's a video game. You're splitting hairs about why killing in one video game that isn't real is acceptable and why in another video game that also isn't real killing is unacceptable? That's laughable. There's no required justification for killing in a game and if you've ever played more than one violent game then you find video game violence entertaining.

All I'm saying is cut the crap. Your rationalizations about virtual violence to make yourself feel better about it is pointless anyway.
