not when you have centers shooting 3 bruh and centers having handle a Matumbo outside sticking a Cousins or Davis their too slow and can't defend outside paint can't do that these days Robinson and Olajuwan was probably closest athletic wise to depend the perimeter

Marc is pretty good low post. Jonas Val is an extremely talented center down there, man just can't be played because of his god awful defense. Embiid has all the arsenal of moves, but he's not at his best being strictly a low post guy. It sounds like OP wants strictly a guy you feed it in the post and let him eat and teams (plus most centers) are just too talented to rely on that type of offense.

The guys who are strength wise most akin to those style of players could at least develop a back to the basket game though. It's crazy thinking brehs like Jordan, Tristan, Capela, Gobert are bulldogs down low but never was taught even simple post moves

I think we will but it will just take so much more in the modern game then it did in the past. Biggers guys used to have get on the block and do work on both ends. Now they are allowed to get by on athleticism or turning into stretch whatevers. In order to see a dominant low post C again we would need a guy that has the size and athleticism AND either the proper coaching or internal drive to put in the work. And then he would have to be a good passer and end up on a team that can surround him with 4 shooters.

It's going to Joel Embiid, no?

I'm sure the book is out on him if he is injury prone or not. But there's little doubt in my mind he's one if he can stay healthy

pretty much all centers can do that. :jbhmm:

but yeah embiid is the guy who i'm cautiously rooting for. i'm still worried this nikka will be the next bynum. hope i'm wrong. but this cat is the future if he can stay healthy

Injuries are the only thing, he's the best C prospect since Shaq, he was elite on both sides of the floor and a dominant aggressive scorer while being the best rim protector in the league :to:

I think if they widen the court and possibly move the 3 point line further out then it could open up the post game.
