Bone didn't do that song any justice. The song was cut short and Shatasha didn't get a chance to really let loose on it. This is the problem with y'all nxggas; you're running up in this thread comparing these songs as they exist on wax, and not the performances of them. Of course, Thuggish Ruggish Bone is an infinitely better song than Chickenhead, it just wasn't in that round.
Same applies to E.1999, which is a better song than Crunk Ain't Dead, but the performance of it wasn't.
its not bone's fault that their songs were cut short and shatasha had a bad mic.
and stop cappin. east 1999 clearly won that round. krayzie had one of the highlights of the night when he executed that verse. but you telling me, that it loses to roland martin's son dancing around all doofy in front of a dead crowd?? some of yall just really arent into hip-hop, and yall turn around and wonder why southerner opinions are taken with a grain of salt.
I don't think they "stepped it up", because their energy was constant throughout. Bone dragged it back with their song choices, and Juicy J doing his damned best to point shave.
lol @ you thinking juicy was point-shaving.
in reality, he simply read the room.
those more recent songs were the biggest reactions 3-6 mafia was getting, by far.
Thuggish Ruggish without Krayzie and bizz?
For the luv of $ without Krayzie and bizzy?
E.1999 without layzie?
Days of our livez without bizzy (who wanna bag who wanna bag) and Krayzie last verse
Mo murda without bizzy
No surrender was picked perfectly... thats the only shyt wish was needed for to keep it a buck
They also looked retarded doing resurrection when bizzy was gone while using playback because his voice is very distinct and all over that song and it was overpowering all 4 of them
i think for some of these examples, they were operating under the idea that they were getting another battle against wutang or somebody.
and then theres other instances where their music got cut off.
bizzy got to do the "who wanna bag" thing on "fried day" but i was upset that they didnt at least do some of the verses.
krayzie had the best verse on "no surrender". i was dissappointed that he was the only one left off.
bizzy had the WORST verse in ressurrection. everybody else killed it tho, but they only played flesh verse and thats it. flesh is the main reason they played it, but still.
I would've lost my shyt if they did land of the heartless and shotz to tha double glock. Im pretty sure graveyard shift and poetic hustlaz was waiting on the call only to never get it smh
And family tree just Kray verse
ehh, last i checked, tony tone was a pastor. you cant do the song on Verzus without him.
everybody else is either dead, or would never get that call-up, except boogey nikke.
You peeped how Bizzy didn’t say “triple six rivals” during his Notorious Thugs verse
Budden be killing me with his “I’m too cool for school” shyt, like he had so many better things to do than watch the Verzuz battle, as if his job isn’t a hip hop podcaster to observe and discuss shyt like Verzuz lol
hip-hop journalism always been a joke.
dudes just stealing money.
