:mindblown::mindblown:

why this push for Bone vs Wu
2 completely different styles
would’ve been a horrible verzez
Same reason why we want jodeci vs b2m. 2 different styles but they both R&B. Bone and Wu 2 different styles but they hiphop/rap. The best 2 groups of their genre's in the 90s

Sound sound sound
Should this really be in LA?

Where else could it be? If there is a crowd, it would be super biased down south or in the Midwest

And realistically the east coast don’t really care bout these acts ..I live in nyc and a fan of both btw

so LA is like a mixed crowd of casuals and industry ppl who can at least keep the vibe steady

And it’s an easy city to get guests to volunteer to come out to..and I’m sure juicy can get every rap nikka to come out (if they wanna go the special guest route )

nah, Bone wouldn't stand a chance vs Wu inna hip hop setting

the best verzez for Bone would’ve been them vs The Fugees

Bone is the highest selling group during Wu's peak (yes sales arent the end all i know) Bone got anthems, street shyt, r&b whatever you want.

No disrespect but you said the fugees vs bone? :dead: they got 2 albums and 90% of people alive only know 1. Plus the vibe isbt the same. Let them go and battle nappy roots

I'm astounded how yall letting your personal nostalgia not see how this will play out lol.

Bone can't fukk with 36. They have maybe...5 strong songs that EVERYBODY can vibe too. They had an odd sound even for the 90s. It wasn't dance or vibe music except for 1st of the month. The rest falls under that Midwest sound which was an acquired taste.

36 sound in the 90s was an acquired taste too, but difference being, THAT SOUND IS VERY SIMILAR TO THE CURRENT SOUND. It's bouncy and full of energy. You can play their old songs now and this current generation can bounce too it. Same reason the South dominates hip hop now. What Bone song were hoes bustin it open too?

I don't like either group, but 36 should win this. Their sound is too similar to today's.

For a non-fan, 3-6 might have the edge.

That arena, and online streams are going to be filled with actual afans, though.

Both groups are huge and it's going to be close.

:mjtf:

Wu Tang vs Bone is apples & oranges - that’s like Canibus vs Ja Rule (it’s a horrible pairing)

The Fugees were bigger then Bone …. The Score sold like 7 or 8 million albums in 96’

Seems like Steve Lobel helped set it up,on his Instagram Swizz thanked him in the comments

Lobel always helps Bone set up projects
He's put together a lot of legendary plays for Bone. He set up the Notorious Thugs session. Dude also had to beg Krayzie and Wish to fly out and meet/record with Mariah, they were about to get off the plane on some "fukk this" type shyt lol

The Fugees are only competitive if they included the solos. The Score has only like 5 songs that are competitive. Then you'd have to throw in "Nappy Heads" remix and "Vocab". Then you'd have to go to the solo work.

The best match up for The Fugees would be The Roots.

Any group or crew is going to have individuals used their solo projects/music inna verzez , see Lox / Dip Set

My point isn’t about The Fugees beating Bone - it’s about them being a better pairing then Wu Tang

Oh it's coming :wow::wow:

Bones stage presence and synergy will too much to overcome. These guys are right out the rap heavens. Started a style that still getting sampled 25 years later.

When guy watch Bone live it just hits different that no one else can do what they do... period. Even Wu would have a hard time competing against these guys live
