u already on record of not being a fan & not listening to hip hop in da 90’s

yet acting like your bullshyt opinion counts for anything

now youre lying on me, and some dikkhead named @Hoodoo Child is dapping you for some gay reason.

i started listening to rap in the '80s actually.

go away weirdo.

My point stands, we can't paint Three Six in 97 and 98 as C level and then act like No Limit catapulted to A List while placing Kast as B List.

They were performing on Martin, were in heavy rotation on MTV in the 90's.

They were. They weren't some mainstream superstars, but they were definitely mainstream. "Sho Nuff" and On Top Of The World era through In My Lifetime Vol. 1 Ball & G weren't underground. Anything prior to 1995 from them was definitely underground.

theres a clear seperation between the 3, and then when you add in rappers from all the other regions, of course theyre gonna fall into different levels. its not rocket science chief.

Coolio was the big promoted guest appearance for that Martin episode actually. they just tacked outkast on at the end of the show to perform for 8 seconds as the credits rolled. alot of people didnt even really know them like that. i know this was prolly like a holiday in atlanta for you, but it was not a big deal at all.

tela, 8ball & mjg were not mainstream. their peak was getting regular rotation on rap city.

outkast were mainstream but not household names
tela, 8ball & mjg had national exposure via rap city. they werent mainstream.

The only separation is this. By the time Three Six blew, Kast and No Limit were A List. That shouldn't even be an argument. You couldn't put one below the other at the time. A lot of people that were No Limit fans were also fans of Kast. Of course there people at opposite extremes of the spectrum that rocked with either/or because you had No Limit fans who thought Kast was too weird at that point and Kast fans who thought No Limit weren't lyrical and the music was cheap.

I am not going back and forth about a 26 year old episode of Martin. Point being, Martin had some of the biggest rappers on his show during its run from Biggie to Wu. Episode was even called "Player's Ball" and I think Kast performed twice that episode.

Still mainstream. Before 1995, you weren't going to see Eightball & MJG in regular rotation

OutKast were as much household names as anyone from No Limit.

i’m not lying on you … several posters exposed you of not being into hip hop in the 90’s , they proved you was an R&B dude back then

at the end if the day - you can’t stick to the topic of Wu & Bone not being compared to each other back inna dayz
you brought up forums from the 90’s … then couldn’t clarify what you was talking bout

You overrate the hell out of outkast brohski.

There was never anything mainstream about tela, 8ball & mjg. If rap city rotation was your peak, then you were not mainstream.

No, I don't overrated Kast. You just consistently downplay them. To put them B List behind No Limit is laughable. By what metric was Kast B List to No Limit. And what's funny is you had to use the entire label instead of citing artists. They would've been B List to a group like Bone as would No Limit.

Eightball & MJG were mainstream. They just weren't uber mainstream. You stated they were in regular rotation on Rap City. This was the 90's and were from The South where it wasn't really common to see Southern rappers regularly on Rap City unless you were Face, Kast or No Limit. They would've been B to C list. And even if it was a No Limit artist , it was one of the marquee acts.

Wacky D has an issue with Outkast, it's well documented so it's best not to engage him there.

But back to the topic. They fukking these up by holding them in LA with an audience full of Asians and Mexicans. Some of these need to be held in the region where these acts were most popular.

Well if Layzie knows what’s best for “his” group he’ll let Bizzy and Krayzie take the reigns for this performance

thats what yall do on here, then get mad when somebody calls a spade.

outkast is not on my mind when im not on the coli, homie. dont flatter yourself.
