what would have been different?

the djs don’t matter..they essentially press play on a set/play list determined by the artist

it wasn’t dj position who had the idea to play no surrender and body rot to start off

With the exception of 1st of the month…they played everything expected of them

DJ matter a lot in these Verzuz battles.

The artists that have great chemistry with their DJ's always seems to have the advantage.

DJ's that knows their artists seems to know how to perfectly setup the songs in these Verzuz battles.

They seem to be more organized as well.

They have no other big songs in their catalogue like that..1st of the month was the only miss which woulda been one of the last 4 or 5 anyway..they were kinda smoked by then anyway

The first half of their verzuz was always gonna be their weak point ..because nobody cared about the post-prime bone singles, or the slow tempo weed songs in that environment ..,they just have the later round haymakers , that’s all they ever had

three 6 was able to throw out some duke deuce shyt because it’s relevant to the younger audience…but also kinda paying homage to their older fans

bone does not have stuff like that

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Yep but bone is stubborn... u need really made them... well they made eachother. Bone sounded different without him and u need has never been able to put on any other artist... they were perfect for eachother.

They had a falling out which I think comes from bone wanting to go in their own direction and proving they can do it on their own. U neek and bone is like Phil jackson and the bulls. Except in this story the bulls fire Phil jackson and stop winning championships.

I feel like its an ego thing. There was a time when krayzie was being praised as the lone genius of the group. Everyone deserves props but we can see by his solos everyone needs eachother
Never understood that.

U have no idea what u talkin about. They left key songs out they catalog and that’s not including 1st Of The Month and it’s the same for Three Six Mafia leaving out key shyt like Late Night Tip which wasn’t a hit record but it was a crazy record.

You said they dont have songs that resonate with young audience as far as influence. Thats a pretty recent song and theres a handful more I could post with different artist with high view counts/popularity. I was just correcting you. 3-6 prob has MORE songs with newer artist but you flat out said Bone doesn't have it. Thats literally not true

And they coulda gave the dudes some shine

They have songs and verses that couldve hit the same way lox songs did when they was performing shyt the casual audience didn't know. U need would've highlighted their strengths... and its not just about first of the month because as you can see when they did thuggish ruggish they did the two weakest verses on the song. Bone definitely needed guidance... "turning bizzy loose" while effective wasn't the end all be all. And not to mention he fukked up the momentum with his antics anyway. So when he was finally let loose the impact was lessened

what songs were left out? Please enlighten me

I basically picked the 20 songs that would be played for both sides

I tried with Akon? Would that have rung off? If I could teach the world?:mjlol: That mo thugs single? It would’ve been a better choice that something like body rot, but it’s still nothing significant

people start talking about album cuts NOBODY cares about besides a small fraction of hardcore fans

they always play songs people generally love or successful singles

late night tip was the only song I thought 36 would play that they didn’t

And my favorite songs from three 6 are generally album cuts and a lot of the posse songs..but I know what verzuz warrants them playing

No Surrender > Who Run It.
Body Rott was a terrible choice.

But more broadly, the DJ was cutting the songs off early. I have to imagine that was the plan from the get go.
