I like both labels equally during their times. I do think it’s silly to dismiss NL’s chances. I don’t know how you can rebuttal Bout It, Ice Cream Man, Nolimit Soldiers. Oh and if they do Burbans & Lacs? That may very well be the best song between both camps imo.

Nah, I liked the setup for the old heads when they were sitting on stage exchanging stories and letting the music play. To me, catalog and stage performance are two different conversations and catalog can get washed with performance. Like if MJB went up against Beyoncé, she’s gonna lose because Beyonce is a great performer whereas MJB has better music (IMO). Just going track for track evens the playing field
