ATL tries to take credit for blowing the south up.

Bounce isn't sissy music but yea some of the artists are. Lol.

ATL was on before N.O. In fact, P wasn't really paying attention to The South until Outkast and Goodie Mob. There was no Down South Hustlers until 1995. That compilation even as double album wasn't a big deal. N.O. did not blow up until 1997 with TRU 2 Da Game.

Southern Hip Hop did not become dominant until like 2000 and even then, it was Kast and Luda at the forefront. 2004 was when The South really took over and again ATL was at the forefront.

Atlanta wasnt even the 1st ones on. Miami put the douth on the map. Then houston. Those are the pioneer cities. Yourw trying to give ATL that credit on the slick too.

And new orleans blew the south up. Nobody looked at the south as a contender until no limit broke thru. That's when it became dominant. Not no dam 2000.

You from Georgua and we went thru this like 10 times already jn the past. I'll leave it there, respectfully.

Who said ATL was first?

Simply put, Kast and Goodie were some of the first to even rep The South.

Master P was in Cali when Kast and them were putting in work. I love No Limit, but there were even New Orleans natives that say P wasn't even paying attention to the local scene in New Orleans like that until Mia X. Mystikal was already making a name for himself before No Limit even blew up.

CMR didn't blow until late 1998 to early 1999. Kast, Goodie were already on at that point.

They could hold this battle anywhere.

I dont know why people are acting like these labels are regional. Both are still touring in the most biased cities to this day.

Nah, shyt would’ve been on a whole other level if it was in New Orleans…or some other southern cultural hub cities honestly, but especially NO….Lox and Dipset were national acts too…but that Verzuz doesn’t have anywhere near the same energy as it did being in NYC if it was randomly in Phoenix or some shyt :mjlol: ….this performance doesn’t ring off the same in Denver, ain’t no way around it

the biggest issue I have with Vegas is it’s a event destination city where fans from all over the country would attend something like this…but they announced this shyt two weeks before it happened…the bulk of the crowd is gonna be people who were already attending this “ComplexCon” shyt…look at the other muhfukkas performing at this shyt, who were all announced waaaaaay before this Verzuz was added

Yeat, 2Hollis, Young Thug, Peso Pluma, Ken Carson

You think a crowd that’s planned for months to see those acts is an optimal crowd for a Cash Money vs No Limit Verzuz?

You have faith that a bunch of Yeat fans will respond to “Swamp Nikka” ranging off?

Turk says he is doing his own Verzuz to compete against the Cash Money/No Limit because he’s made he didn’t get invited :comeon: ….all he had to do was stay the fukk off the internet and he wouldn’t have got kicked off the tour

There is a regional aspect to both labels.

It isn’t like Deathrow, that came on the scene with commercial success. These two labels have extensive catalogs prior to their mainstream success. However, it’s not realistic to believe they would prefer any underground classics.

Mo B dikk is the wild card. If he performs at this event no limit wins

“I thought we could flip keys together
I thought we could make g's together
Now I know what's going on
I gotta make these dollars on my own
I thought you saw the bigger picture
How could you betray your closest nikka?
How can I ever trust you again?
Tell me, man”

I say this as a No Limit fan that has always preferred the Tank over CMR, UNLV's "Drag Em N Tha River" and Juve's "Back That Thang Up" are going to be lost rounds for No Limit. The only real counters for those songs is if they can use Mystikal's "Here I Go" against the UNLV record and I can't think of anything that counters the Juve song that could possibly win that round.

That said, I still think No Limit's set will be more hype because they had songs that were crunk before crunk became a thing. There's also the R&B wild cards. Does No Limit play Montell Jordan's "Let's Ride". Mercedes "I Can Tell"? Do they bring out Uncle Charlie for Mia X's "What You Wanna Do"?

I haven't seen Snoop Dogg's "Woof!" on any of these lists either. That was pretty big for No Limit. Mac's "Murda Murda Kill Kill" is another one that I wonder if they will play.
