Actually that’s one of the legal hand-ups of Verzuz and the streaming deals. The red tape on song clearances is a big hassle. Only a streaming company is gonna be able to pay for the rights AND the performance fees of the artists.

Same reason DJs can’t really go live playing music without getting shut off for DMCA copyright violations.
