I remember in real time as well, and growing up buying so many of those releases on both sides, Cash Money always had the singles heat, No Limit always had the deeper cuts that hit. I could probably do my own No Limit set list of 20 songs without putting any charting hits on there. That’s not a slight to Cash Money either. No Limit had sheer volume maximizing as much of the 80 minutes of a CD as possible, to the point where even acts like Prime Suspects, Gambino Family, and Ghetto Commission had hard stuff. Cash Money at it’s core were Hot Boys and Big Tymers, basically 6 acts with releases more spread out over time.

Ok but felt rushed due to it being a ComplexCon event. They ran outta time. All that made it felt short.
CMR's track selection was trash.

Like tonight, in that era….. Juvie did a lot of the heavy lifting for CM, BG was a solid roll player and HB and BT (really) kinds just ran off the momentum of the wave.
