Mac’s post on the Mercedes stuff gives some insight on why Wayne wasn’t there….he wasn’t “contracted” to appear…aka the money wasn’t there for there for him…whatever the budget was for the show, giving Wayne what he feels he deserves leaves less money for the rest of them…same for Turk, they don’t really fukk with him in the first and would have to take a pay cut to realistically have him perform one half a verse
This should have been a way bigger event, planned out in advance, in NEW ORLEANS with a full 20+ songs and tons of guest appearances…and not just a set slot of Complex Con streamed and branded as Verzuz in front of a crowd that didn’t respond to most of the show…we kinda got cheated…they had 10 songs and the shyt ended with them rushing through songs cause they ran outta time

I will say this…. knowing a little of how bookings and event type shyt goes.
Very few people can just “last minute“ throw some shyt together.
There’s a lot of moving Parts, from the time they planned this to the time they let the public know….. there probably was a significant month of time.
They don’t need Superbowl level amount of time to put this together but it ain’t like they started all this last week
