Verzuz is about delivery, performance, and cohesiveness as a group

Mario was performing b-sides and new songs nobody heard of and made Omarion look like an amateur. Lox was performing mixtape cuts and had DipSet looking silly and unorganized.
It’s about who is in shape and can deliver a dope performance.
BG and Weezy can come out drugged out and sloppy and drop the ball for CMR.
Luckily they have Mannie and he’s a showman as a DJ.
This is why on paper No Limit should win, but if at least Mannie, Juvi and Baby show up game ready, they will win

I say this as a No Limit fan that has always preferred the Tank over CMR, UNLV's "Drag Em N Tha River" and Juve's "Back That Thang Up" are going to be lost rounds for No Limit. The only real counters for those songs is if they can use Mystikal's "Here I Go" against the UNLV record and I can't think of anything that counters the Juve song that could possibly win that round.

That said, I still think No Limit's set will be more hype because they had songs that were crunk before crunk became a thing. There's also the R&B wild cards. Does No Limit play Montell Jordan's "Let's Ride". Mercedes "I Can Tell"? Do they bring out Uncle Charlie for Mia X's "What You Wanna Do"?

I haven't seen Snoop Dogg's "Woof!" on any of these lists either. That was pretty big for No Limit. Mac's "Murda Murda Kill Kill" is another one that I wonder if they will play.
the only thing I can think for Back that azz up...and this a super duper stretch...would be Freak Hoes mixed with Future's version...but realistically they'll probably try to play Choppastyle or Wobble Wobble to match the energy...

I would love for Montell Jordan and Mya to come out for those rnb records but if its really 10 like BG said, no space for that or any bsides really.

im guessing NL 10 will be:
Make Em Say Uh
Ice Cream Man
NL Soldiers
Bout It
How You Do That
Burbans & Lacs
Down 4 My nikkas
I Can Tell
I Miss My Homies
It Aint My Fault

Who said ATL was first?

Simply put, Kast and Goodie were some of the first to even rep The South.

Master P was in Cali when Kast and them were putting in work. I love No Limit, but there were even New Orleans natives that say P wasn't even paying attention to the local scene in New Orleans like that until Mia X. Mystikal was already making a name for himself before No Limit even blew up.

CMR didn't blow until late 1998 to early 1999. Kast, Goodie were already on at that point.

Bro, nobody cared about the dungeon family on that level. Nobody argued about them all day, nobody wanted to be them, nobody was influenced by them on or off wax, none of their spinoff artists ever blew up, etc etc. They're legends in their own right but they didn't make that type of impact in the game. And that's not a bad thing. It just is what it is.

So so def had a bigger cultural presence than them.

There is a regional aspect to both labels.

It isn’t like Deathrow, that came on the scene with commercial success. These two labels have extensive catalogs prior to their mainstream success. However, it’s not realistic to believe they would prefer any underground classics.

Theyre not playing anything prior to the mainstream success.

But each label had a bunch of album cuts that were nationally popular like singles.

Nah, shyt would’ve been on a whole other level if it was in New Orleans…or some other southern cultural hub cities honestly, but especially NO….Lox and Dipset were national acts too…but that Verzuz doesn’t have anywhere near the same energy as it did being in NYC if it was randomly in Phoenix or some shyt :mjlol: ….this performance doesn’t ring off the same in Denver, ain’t no way around it

the biggest issue I have with Vegas is it’s a event destination city where fans from all over the country would attend something like this…but they announced this shyt two weeks before it happened…the bulk of the crowd is gonna be people who were already attending this “ComplexCon” shyt…look at the other muhfukkas performing at this shyt, who were all announced waaaaaay before this Verzuz was added

Yeat, 2Hollis, Young Thug, Peso Pluma, Ken Carson

You think a crowd that’s planned for months to see those acts is an optimal crowd for a Cash Money vs No Limit Verzuz?

You have faith that a bunch of Yeat fans will respond to “Swamp Nikka” ranging off?

It benefited the LOX for sure, but the LOX aren't all that big outside of the east coast. Plus the LOX were doing ALOT of new york dog-whistling all night. Dipset didn't need to be there.

That's a good point about the event being announced in such short notice. I see what you're saying there. Alot of the crowd will be casuals on resort. I can see that.

fair enough.....that would be super foul having NL/CMR be the one with 10 when we had to sit through 20 rounds of Bow Wow/ Soulja Boy, Mario/Omarion and all that

Stop it. You're letting bias cloud facts. By your own argument in bringing up Houston and Miami, you can't leap frog over ATL and jump to New Orleans when discussing The South. There's also Memphis before New Orleans even impacted. No Limit and CMR were non factors before Dungeon Family. That is a fact. And to top it off, they were factors BEFORE, DURING, AND AFTER No Limit and CMR's initial runs.

So So Def had three rap acts. Kriss Kross was done by the time Kast debuted. The only time Brat was arguably bigger than Kast is 1994-1995. Definitely were eclipsed by Kast by 1996. Aquemini was a bigger album than JD's Life in 1472. Stankonia was bigger than Bow Wow's debut.

As an Louisiana OG and DJ down here. This isn't really a even match, especially outside of Louisiana. Pimp C and Mystikal would definitely give NL a few Ws.

And Versus are mostly about Nationally known Party tracks. Real No Limit fan are a minimum 40 and 50 years old now. No Limit had waayyy deeper meaningful tracks than CM. CM had more funny, party tracks. Not even close. I hoping it's more of a celebration than a competition. Being from Louisiana it's hard to know what songs really hit outside of the boot back then, bcuz AKICKDOE is classic down here. Master P might need to bring Bun B out and Lil Chad or XVII to do Pimp C verses.

Anyhow here are the songs I would probably select for this battle.

No Limit

I'm Bout It
Burbans and Lacs
No Limit Soldiers
Choppa Style
Rock The Boat - Do it for 5th Ward Weebie (God Bless)
Break Em Off Something ft UGK
Murda, Murda, Kill, Kill
Wobble Wobble
How You Do That
The Man Right Chea
Down 4 my N*ggas
I Miss My Homies

Cash Money - I hope they keep it Pre Juvie Departure 2002 and earlier

Ha
Back that Azz Up
Bling Bling
Cash Money IS A Army
Still Fly
I Need A Hot Girl
Get You Roll On
Get Your Shine On - For the Louisiana Heads
Soulja Rags - For the Louisiana Heads
Uptown Thang - For the Louisiana Heads
Big Ballin - For Louisiana
Drag Em From the River - :damn:

Just so you know Trill ENT (Boosie and Webbie) would wash both CM and NL in a Verzus in Louisiana.

I forgot to account for how much P and NL having been performing together these past years. They should be crisper. I thought Dipset would wash the LOX, but professionalism and cohesiveness played a major part.

Wayne look like shyt and be own some David Ruffin sh:t with the rest of the crew. :snoop:

I think NL might have a chance. Would love to see P bring out Foxy and Mia X for Party don't stop :blessed:
