First off this hashtag hardly represents all vets.

But you haven't even read my posts on this matter. This type of protest sucks because it's ineffective. I'm all for him protesting, but all this is doing is getting him attention for a little while longer and then it'll stop getting coverage.

If these athletes really care about making social change, they would stop tapdancing on the field for white spectators every weekend and refuse to play until some defined term of justice was achieved. Imagine if every black athlete, or a substantial number, sat out.

Protesting the anthem is really only disruptive to veterans. That's not a group BLM and affiliates have any business protesting. As I said in the HL thread (and no one responded too of course because they knew I was right):

On the contrary. I think Kap instead should donate money to pro-black causes. BLM, any super pacs, good candidates etc. Or he should refuse to play and get other black athletes to sit out too until there's justice. That's where he would be most effective.

Sitting during the national anthem does nothing to help the cause and disrespects soldiers (of all colors) who have died to protect us (and who aren't at fault for any oppression in America).

It's like Kap picked the most worthless, most insulting way to protest possible.
:dahell: fukk u talkin about? I'm a vet and know countless other vets that support his cause. Nobody is willing to stand up for what they believe in these days cause everyone is stuck on social media and are to worried about what people think of them. The 70s might've Been the goat idgaf era
