It's plenty of rednecks complaining about how the country records that are coming out now a days sound too much like rap music. The younger acts are assimilating with pop culture and are singing about rims, posturing like rappers and spitting punchlines

Sons of Anarchy rap :dead:

Just noticed something. Had to rewind to be sure, but -- how they gonna have an Asian bytch prominently in the background of the video, but no black people??!

White dudes
White bytches
Asian bytch

No Blacks, No Latins, No Asian men. I see them working. :pacspit: The blatant layers of theft is blatant.

(Also, Sons of Anarchy is the American History X of television when it comes to normalizing white racism without apologies.)

I find it interesting that a lot of you guys are blaming it all on mainstream black singers making crappy music.

Ever think that there's plenty of great talented black soul artists who simply aren't be pushed while Gay Songz puts out rappity trap euro dance trash and the white people get all the opportunities to drop high quality soul pushed by their labels?

Some of y'all love to immediately point the finger at and blame blacks while conveniently forgetting who the real enemy is...

Let me guess. You guys thought macklemore blew up because there were no black rappers putting out quality music....

We still make the best soul music. Cacs just are putting a gay CAC face on it to make money from hipsters and fags. Nothing to see here they don't have soul to ever make music as good as that uncut original. As a musician it doesn't bother me it's horseshyt and black folks don't even know or care who this CAC is.

Either way we all know of Elvis. Nothing new here.

Seems like White and Black Brits are the only ones who still care about soul music.

They have always cared about it, from the Rolling Stones onward. I wish British brehs could explain it to us better. George Michael doing duets with Aretha Franklin. :wowwow2: Just making great music. You wouldn't catch culture vulures like Timberlake doing that shyt.

I don't know why y'all are so concerned with any one else's opinion other than yours. It's been repeated several times before, award shows don't matter, neither does the popular opinion, yet you all still sit on your phones or at your computers or laptops and complain.

I haven't even listened to this guys music before, but I think I've heard a clip of his song "stand by me" on the radio.

There's plenty of musicians, but like most people that live their lives following popular opinion, you don't know any of them, but you still complain. This is the year of supporting music that requires no label nor heavy radio promotion, but y'all ignore it. Why? Because black people are pitiful like every other race and seek attention and recognition, feeling as if no contribution is existed if it isn't recognized.

Why am I explaining this to grown ass men?

^That's good music, come to Portland and you'll hear stuff like this everyday.

He sounds John legend. :yeshrug:

Eh, I'm not really fazed by this shyt like alot of people are. This has been going on forever with white America and blacks still manage to make great music and gain quality acclaim abroad. When whites in America were railroading blacks from gaining any momentum in the states playing Jazz, Gosepl, and Soul music, they left the states and went to Europe, Africa, and Asia and got alot of popular acclaim there. Today is no different. Alot of soul artists in the states are huge stars overseas and have a massive following. I've seen artists like Robert Glasper, Dwele, Eric Roberson, and Ledisi overseas and saw how loved they were by everyone. Don't be fooled by this propaganda piece. In the end, Blacks will always be the ones who sign off on what's hot and what isn't when it comes to culture.

Cacs cant just participate in music. THey always have to dominate or rule something. Sam smith making songs getting raped in the industry doesnt constitute as ruling shyt. His rulership is like, a marketing gimmick.

Cac singers can never rule soul, because they dont have soul unless they've been raised around us, their entire Life.

Or even make the music again. Black folks, particularly the young ones, abandoned the slow paced baby making music for trap and ratchet music. That is why CACs can take over it and nikkas are like :manny: as long as they get p*ssy. Maxwell and other old school artists can make classic songs and have fans buy it, but I'm afraid that the next generation of black folk ain't gonna have long lasting talent like that.

:snoop: @ this shyt happening.

Exactly...the internet has corrupted the weaker minds of those who have no values or integrity...everyone is using the same formula to " get poppin ", followers without innovation... to get good black soul or hip hop music you have to look indy bc the majors have merged hip hop and contemporary R&B to an urban music genre that is mostly cluttered with complete simple and ignorant wack shyt.

:manny: nobody else to blame but us

These nikkas in the industry is willing to give up there work, publishing and masters just to be on tv, stay in nice hotels and happy with getting $ 80,000 for a album that went double platinum so fukk'em.. plus nikkas don't support soul music anyway just like jazz... but hey!!!!! We can drive around in Bentleys even if its rented just to say we on white people level.

:salute: to the real black artist that stay independent

I will jazz say is the only thing blacks still support in large numbers but it has to be smooth jazz though lmao :mjlol:

You telling me you don't see a million and one of these black dudes walking around dressed like this at jazz festivals.

That's effing sad.

Black music has been completely whitewashed at this point.
Black America is being whitewashed. Black people are no longer allowed to have any kind of identity. Those that attempt to be independent are shunned and accused of being "hard to work with," " disagreeable," a "head case," and so on. Our women are trying to look like white women. Our men are being emasculated and even simple aggression is now almost being penalized if seen in a black person. The black community in this country is being reduced to nothing. Even "Illegal" aliens get more respect.

I can't believe I'm dapping a post of yours...but it's the truth...

But I won't even say black women...black people straight up abandoned everything for hip-hop & R&B and as far as blacks longevity in that music is concerned as top of the pecking order...it's only a while until we're bombarded by a million Macklemores and Iggy Azealeas and black artists in those genres are made irrelevant...

Overatted white artists to no end and put black artists on the backburner to the point they think they are imitating THEM when it's vice versa...

And that's all we got now...

Rock...completely whitewashed
Country...completely whitewashed
Jazz...completely whitewashed
Blues...completely whitewashed
House and techno...completely whitewashed to the point black people who aren't familiar with it refer to it as the commercial term "EDM" (a term which was conceived to market dance music to Americans..."I hate house...I LOVE EDM") and forget that it is and was a BLACK artform that spawned from Disco (another dead black artform) that started in America and not by white men in Europe....

I'm done typing man...this argument unsettles me to no end...

I have to disagree with this one. I agree, classical jazz is whitewashed but smooth jazz is still hanging on.
Go to jazz festivals and see old head Blacks people in Lawn chairs and beezy clothes

Apples and oranges bruh.

Let me start by saying that I'm 25 years old before y'all start to think I'm some :flabbynsick: nikka hatin on younbger generations.

The difference between Macklemore and Sam Smith is that black millenials- artists and fans alike- are WAAAAY more invested in hip hop than soul music and it's not even close. I'm from the city that gave the world Marvin Gaye and Roberta Flack, and growing up I was the dude that fukked with old school/neo soul the heaviest of all my peers, and frankly when I look at people my age I know now the other biggest r&b heads are white.

I mean the white-owned corporate music structure definitely plays a role, as I think they've lost interest in pushing black music that doesn't offer a sort of "swag safari" to suburban white people who want the rush without catching the racism and police beatdowns ... but even when the neo soul scene was strong my black peers seemed way more interested in stanning the next hot rapper.

I'll lambaste white folk for a great many things, but this is largely on us fam :yeshrug:
