The criminal underworld doesnt like to be criticized by anyone let alone people who arent in the streets.

But clowns are always going to have this romantic relationship with self destruction as they go through their misguided rebellious years so akademiks is the bad guy

The way I see it is, everybody's going to have an opinion. It may not be the most accurate or reliable opinion if you're far removed from that environment, but you still have a right to share said opinion. And most rational people don't think running around with guns and shyt is cool at all. It's just, when it comes to Akademiks, it seems to me that he's making light of a very serious situation where people (both innocent and complicit) are in the crossfire and as a result, are losing family members they hold dear. So I can't blame people for wanting to get at Akademiks for that. He still has a right to freedom of speech, but it doesn't mean he's immune to any reaction that'll fall on him.

The problem is the Chicago shyt was distasteful to the point that some folks will never forgive or forget. I think a lot of the issue between Joe and him has to do with his naiveté. He gives off the vibe that he's 26 going on 15. There's a lack of respect for Ak based off his rise largely being due to the Chicago shyt imo coming from Budden, but when he jabs back, it either comes off as a failed joke or just not taken in kind by Joe. At least that's what I see. There's a tiny bit of incompatibility with their personalities imo. If it's best for him in his opinion, then sure, but the man comes off too green. Gotta deal with real life.

I didn't know Ak and I were so close in age, I thought he was around 28 or so. Damn. I mean me being 24 right now, I know better than to go be distasteful about a situation that I have no personal connection to. There's real people involved, real people that are laid up in the Cook County Emergency Room right now due to what goes down. So for me personally? I can't. Ak on the other hand? Maybe it's because he's been so far removed, maybe because he didn't think he would be touched, I have no idea. I don't defend Ak for the things that he's saying, but I do think that Joe can sometimes be a little too Attack Mode on ES. Look at the whole Lil Yachty thing. Justified? Maybe, but still. You can't be getting red faced to your co-host and expect him to be cool with it all the time. Maybe Ak needs to have more confidence in himself? Or maybe he needs to finally lose his temper? But I will say that maybe it's because he's so green, people are much more willing to try Akademiks than say, Charlemagne. And even Charlemagne still has to step back when it comes to certain guests. If that's the case, then I think Akademiks needs to build himself more with his confidence or just toughen up a bit, because this won't be the last time guest'll get all hype with him.

Doesnt also help that Joe is kind of a bytch too. Like forreal it was a bad look for joe to jump in on shytting on DJAK with Vic, regardless of how much a bytch AK may be.

I fukk with Joe but you can tell that if he has the opportunity to be the "most dominant personality in the room", he jumps on it. Even if it means shytting on another person.

He tries to do it to Rory too but Rory knows him too well to just take it.
