Barkley was way out of line....I would have asked for the fade if I worked with him....Im referring to the famous "Who Taught You to Hate Yourself" one which is why i specefically said THAT speech,as that is the speech ive been seeing referenced by Kendrick defenders alot who obviously haven't listened to it in a while.
Im having the conversation right now, this is the part of the conversation where we figure out who needs to be left out of the conversation...Is it not important to point out the decoys before we have this conversation?
This talk about us "respecting ourselves first" coming from certain individuals seems to be a deflection tactic, seems to be about blaming blacks while excusing white racism, seems to be about erasing things in our culture WHITE PEOPLE dont find acceptle....Malcolm and many others did have speeches noting behavior we should strive to change in our communitys and caught no heat, the difference between him and the Cosby/Charles Barkley's of the world is a thing called "intentions"....you better start caring about these peoples intentions and motives who you cosigning...wont take long to read between the lines to see who they really speaking for,who they really working for..
Theres a reason not everybody who talks about black self improvement comes under fire...judging by how upset you got maybe you do come under fire for like Cosby and Charles for some reason..Me and plenty other posters on this site dont get that same backlash and wont, you need to ask yourself why you do and then improve yourself
.

kendrick was talking about the hood in compton... and he has already said everybody is equal, he doesn't want to see races anymore, he wants to see 1 nation.
No I'm not.Seem like your catching feelings. How about staying away from these thread but you won't ...go ahead and reply

You got a list of black celebs who have said anything? Would be interesting to see. It does infuriate me seeing brothas like hov/puff/50 who have all the money and are old enough where they're careers are set in stone, taking the corporate approach. I can somewhat see why guys like Vic and kendrick do..altho I dont agree with itOh and while we endlessly debate whether or not Kendrick is a c00n..
A bomb was detonated outside the naacp and it got absolutely no mainstream news coverage.
There are actually real issues to discuss.
I swear u c00ns live in a box....
I listened to plenty of Malcolm speeches were he touched on a lack of respect for ourselves, sleeping with other peoples wives, drugs etc etc
It's funny instead of y'all saying yea we need to do better how can we do it. Y'all pulling the same Cosby bs when he told nikkaz to pull the pants up
You know that nonblack thing where they see a bunch of black people throughout their day and the black people aren't doing anything, but when one black person does something wrong, they start up the whole "blacks need to do better" thing? I guess black people are doing it too now. Like instead of accepting the black community with it's flaws as it is, this certain group of blacks have all these conditions for how "they" should act. This is stupid. Too stupid. Many blacks have self-respect. If entertainers never see any black men or black women carry themselves with confident, morals, and dignity, it goes to show you the entertainers are either out of touch with the real world or hanging around the wrong people.
