I'm a football fan first, I liked Vick, but never thought he was top 5 at any point in his career. To convince yourself he was (even playing for the Eagles) is wild... I loved his potential, but why is he not on your team right now if he was "top five?" Ask yourself that. He's a backup now, should've been winding down his career as a starter. He let everything else get in the way. Don't let your fandom overtake your outlook. Guy had crazy potential, he never realized it for a myriad of reasons, mostly the mistakes he made. One season doesn't make you top five...
Joe Flacco had a hell of a run a few years ago, won a super bowl on a one year contract...has he EVER been considered "top five?" Think about that my friend...

Again, who has anybody considered Joe Flacco top five? He had a hell of a postseason that year but would you lump him with Brady, Rodgers, Bree's, etc? In my honest opinion? No.
Vick was solid player, fast and had loads of potential, but he messed a lot of it up, sitting in jail and out of the league/not playing for two years did damage. He showed out that year with Philly, but it was more of an outlier of his career than the norm. Why weren't y'all saying he was "top five". While with the Jets? He barely started over Geno..that's no knock on him, just a guy who didn't do what he was SUPPOSED to do his whole NFL career. So no, I'm not gonna say he was top five. He had his moments, but they were honestly, few and far inbetween...

Was To my Maddox (who kept the Steelers afloat while Big Ben was down), Rex Grossman (who took the Bears to the Super Bowl)?
