:laff: My nikka wants his just due. Too bad he killed hella dogs so everyone hates him.
Just about the worst sin in America. You can run over a guy drunk like Stallworth, or knockout and drag your fiance like Rice, but you kill dogs you will always hear about it.

Back in 01 and 02 when Reeves was running the pro-set offense Vick made plays I aint never seen any other QB make including Cunningham and Young.

There was one play against the Saints in 02 where he was scrambling to his left and fired a 50 yard laser that never got above 5-7 feet off the ground. It was a perfect strike to Terrance Mathis in the endzone. I swear I was :ohhh:for about 10 minures. It was more impressive than all his runs.

Stop this revisionist(or just youngin') history. Elway, Young and Cunningham had running plays called for them all the time. Hell, if you want to be technical, Roger Staubach had lots of runs called for him, which made him hard to defend. Any Cowboys fan from the 90s should have nightmares about those called Steve Young bootleg runs in the 94 NFC championship game. Dude was killing Charles Haley's contain.

Cunningham's best rushing seasons are comparable to Vick's in an era where a QB running wasnt even an aftertought. And he was damn good in the pocket too. Vick had more highlight reel runs thats about it. But lets not disrespect the real OG of this running QB shyt

Vick is right and wrong. He didn't necessarily start it, but he took it to a whole NEW level for sure.

Steve Young, Cunningham, were pocket passer that could scramble when needed, but they weren't full-fledged dedicated runners from the QB position like Vick.

I don't believe defenses were altering & creating new schemes to stop Young and Cunningham from running

nailed it

Vick's best receiver for the majority of his career was Crumpler :beli:

Young was literally surrounded by Hall of Famers. The fact that Vick's best tools were his feet and his arm were what led to that offense fundamentally changing how scrambling QBs are used today. Necessity being the mother of invention and all that good stuff.

I do agree with you though.

Breh stop. Even if he had weapons he'd throw at their feet. Plz tell me your not trying to defend his wack ass arm breh. Just stop.

TYRONE GA!
I mean there's been running QBs before that were great - Tarkenton, Cunningham, Young, McNabb, etc. I think it might be true that Mike Vick made teams more cognizant of building a team around a mobile QB rather than just stumbling onto one fortuitously.

Bingo.

Started with Fran, to Randall, to Steve, to McNabb, then Vick.
